Time for a rematch with Widow Twankey. No new striker to replace Asante (so far) Rotherham 1 (Frank Worrall) Shrewsbury 0 Attendance 7818
I see town on the charge. 2-1 to shrewsbury 6889 att. bradshaw and a late goal from the coal scuttle after 85 mins on bench. lucky we had 4 on the subs bench, in addition to the loo brush, coal scuttle and ironing board.
With Asante gone I cannot see us even getting a draw against a Rotherham side who, unlike us, have been very active in bringing in players. A 2-1 defeat in front of a crowd of 6900.
Get in there Tommy Bradshaw. Rotherham had levelled but a summerfield shot is let loose by Shearer and Bradders gets it in the net.
Just back and a battling performance by our threadbare team. The makeshift defence stood up reasonably well and Woods at right back didn't look out of place. Jacobson, captain, and another game unbeaten as such for him. Summerfield was very good in midfield outshining Wildig on this occasion. Parry put in a good shift and the only disappointment was Reach-often trying to do too much. Taylor was outstanding and even Bradshaw got into scoring positions and it was a shame he could not make a better connection with one reasonable chance just before the Millers scored their first equaliser. Apparently Nardiello was red carded after the match. Brought on as sub to change the game and he did rather (as it appeared) as a result of a mistake by Weale. MOM Taylor
Pleased to get a point today - perhaps with a couple of reinforcements this week the season may not yet be as bad as it looked a couple of weeks ago. I still think the lack of options within the squad may come back to haunt us unless we strengthen.
Cheers for the match report, shame we didn't hold out to bag three points. Crowd sounded good chanting at Evans on the radio
