    Morning Troops,

Not only is the weekend upon us (though some of us have to work tomorrow) but its a bank holiday weekend. Whhhoooop, whhoooop.....

    http://cdn.caughtoffside.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/WOMENWORLDCUPBABE.jpg

What are we up to over the bank holiday?

McDermott has come out to quash rumours that a swap deal involving Mills and Peltier is on the cards.

    http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/sexy-soccer-lead.jpg?w=500&h=345

Lets see a show of hands. Who would have liked to see that???

Boro have made a fourth bid. Who else is a little bit worried. Thing is, if he goes, will we have time to replace him. Imagine if we could use the money to buy back Gradel? Who would go for the deal if that was the case??? Lets be honest McCormack can blow hot and cold.

Its interesting that Boro won't let go!!! Do Leeds still have a reputation as being a selling club??? Is it only a matter of time that either Ross or Byram flies the coup???

    http://www.wtfcostumes.com/costumes/costumes/footballers_wifes.jpg

Leeds travel to Ipswich tomorrow. It hasn't been a happy hunting ground in recent years. What is our opinion on scoring predictions??? Who's going down to the game???

Morning all. No bank holiday here but bringing mrs Eire away for weekend for her birthday. Lucky woman getting a night of my undivided attention.
As for Ross, I believe he's gone. Boro wouldn't keep coming back without encouragement. There are no positives to this. Same **** all over again. We'll spend the January window talking about Byrams sale. At least after that, we'll have nothing left to sell. God knows what the vultures will focus on next year

On the Ross front, latest reports are that Boro have got the message as they are now knocking on the door of Carrow Road to try and sign Becchio or Ayala. Worst case scenario we buckle as the money is good, but I still think BMD will have something up his sleeve to replace Ross with. Still not happy that his house is supposed to be on the market.

As for the Mills swap thing, hope its crap because although the manager is supposed to have been chasing Mills for ages, he's over priced on wages and if the foxes dont want him, Bolton dont want him, what says he's good enough for us.

We need to show some spine and skill at Portman Road, because big Mick may be getting his squad together for a long push. We need to show we can pick up plenty of away points this season, and on paper this match should be 3-points for us, as it was last weekend as well. Come on boys ....

Why can't BMD put a sneaky bid in for Willian just to throw another spanner in the works :emoticon-0103-cool:

    Morning all,
Going up to the game tomorrow, can't see how they can justify £37 for 2nd tier football <yikes>

McCormack won't be leaving just yet <ok>

Morning all. I still hope that 'Boro get the message. I also don't think a £2m bid from one of our rivals is anything like enough. I hope I'm right.

A Mills for Peltier swap would be interesting, but I again pose the question, where would Mills play and in place of whom when Byram's back?

Dont think the Mills Peltier thing has any foundation. McD said he knew nothing about it so not sure why it's getting so much airtime.

    Morning all <ok>

My guess with why the swap deal gained so much traction is simply that a lot of the fans got really excited about signing Mills, and a lot of fans are really disappointed with Peltier this time out. It becomes a rumour that almost writes itself and a lot of people would probably see it as a good idea.

As for Bank Holiday, off visiting family - but I'll still be making sure to ignore them so I can listen to the game on Saturday afternoon!

Morning all - For Boro to keep coming back they must have had a hint that a deal might be possible for the right amount. I would imagine we told them £3m and they have gradually upped their 1m offer to meet half way.

A strange one for me because as a Leeds fan 2m isn't enough, if however we were signing Ross and he had never played for us before; looking at his stats I would complain that 2m is too much.

    Morning,

Expecting it to be another close game like all our games have so far. In these situations players like McCormack can make all the difference so I really hope we keep him. Saying that, 3mil in McDermott's hands could provide a better 'all round' team - creating more - so I would not worry if we did sell for that sort of price.

Alas, I work for a company that doesn't give bank holidays so just a regular day at work for me on Monday.

Looks like Byram is playing in a development team match behind closed doors. If he comes through that (And he's been training fully since yesterday) we have our player back. If he doesn't he goes under the knife.

Brian wants him in midfield, I can smell it and it makes sense. He already said it himself last week; The lad can play anywhere and at a great level, he can play centre half right or left midfield and even up top. So it does seem that Wootton, will go into right back or centre half with pelts dropping back, but a good midfield in Austin, Ross, Sam, Murphy. It looks like a winner to me and cost effective. If he can bring in a winger ....... he can push Ross up top too

Hope everyone else is right and I am wrong, I just don't see Byram as a winger

If you'r right Doc and assuming we stick to the diamond, we would have Austin at the base, Ross at the apex, Murphey left side and Byram on the right. Not too shabby a midfield without any natural width and wingers.

Not as a winger but a natural progression to move him further up the pitch. Wingers to me don't defend and really attack the full back whereas wide midfielders need some more technical ability and also the ability to cross from deeper. He reminds me of how Bale was a left back and gradually moved further up the pitch, Bale was always ok there but you always felt the defending side of his game took away from the damage he could do further up.

I would also very happily swap Peltier for Mills, Pelts has been terrible this season at his supposed natural position and isn't good enough at centre back to justify keeping him in place of a proper centre back like Mills, that would also create some really good competition for places as well. Could be a team like this:

    Wootton-------Mills-----Pearce/Lees-------Warnock

    Byram---------Austin---------Murphy-----New Winger

    --------------------Ross--------Hunt/Varney-------------

Which would be fantastic imo. I can't see the Mills deal likely though given the fact we brought in Wootton and that might leave us quite light on RB options. Maybe we can ask Bolton if they want White which would balance us a lot better (doubt they would want white though).

Earlier reports were confident that we would be signing a winger very soon> supposed to be guaranteed to happen? Well I've just had a call from someone who reckons that the winger is Johnstone from Sunderland as they've just bought a Greek winger?

fooking stupid I know, but if BMD can pull this off I will have my cock out down Briggate. Di canio has spent a fortune on foriegn players this summer, and has dressing room issues. Can't see it, but .....
