...was a thing of sheer beauty. Never seen a Swans player score a goal like that before.
Pozuelo scores again from the bench!!.. I think this lad is a real gem that can go far, he's such a natural player on the ball, really looking forward to seeing more from him this season, his movement to send the goal keeper to ground, then chip him was top draw, this lad loves the back of the net!............ PS: Our service to Bony is poor, and needs improving if we are to take advantage of his abilities in front of goal this season!.....
Agree with you Phil. We kept on trying to feed Bony but it just wasn't coming off. But when it clicks.....
Click it will - Bony made some great runs tonight, before long we will start seeing them and feed the ball to him! I believe there are a shed load of goals in this team once they have had enough time to gel properly! Happy days to come I think!
Pozuelo is one of the most exciting players in our team. Always looks like something is going to happen when he has the ball! And yeah, bony didn't have a sniff tonight, the chances he had a basically created from nothing.
He is a very exciting young player, hope we keep hold of him well, I see him developing in the Premier League with no problem, bit of a Borini about him!.............. please log in to view this image
Just a reminder that Pozueolo up until his injury was being looked at by Barca as a striker. Perhaps they did think he might be a budding Messi. His goal was superbly taken and I can see him getting better and better the more games he has. Consistency is the key. The odd goal, the occasional flash of brilliance is all very well but, if he can do this sort of thing on a regular basis, Michael Laudrup will have pulled off another Michu-like piece of magic for us.
So do we already have our alternative striker? Poz is definitely different from Bony. Poz never plays on the wing when he comes on in place of one of our wingers anyway - in fact you can find him anywhere but on the wing. He's always in the thick of it making himself available in the other teams half.
Far be it for me to taker anything away from a very convincing scoreline but their defence was awful. Just seen some extended highlights and accept they do not show everything but the first 3 goals we far too easy and was a little like a training session. All the same, you can only play the team you get drawn against so well done for putting them to the sword and good luck in the group stages
