First I have heard of it. If he isn't on the bench for us tonight, there may be something in the rumour. I'd be very surprised if he went though Edit: He isn't on the bench so he might be on his way up there.
A Ki and Canas combo could be effective. Canas can play that holding role and allow Ki to be pushed further up the pitch with Michu and Bony.
Time will tell, anyway good luck in Europe lads, I for one will be supporting yous throughout this competition
Cheers Murray. On a personal note, I hope you don't get him, as I think he could become a cracking player if he maximises the raw talent that he obviously possesses.
Apparently it's a loan being discussed. Could be good news for you as we have a history of taking players on loan and then after a successful season they bugger back off to their parent club and we're priced out of a permanent move I really hope if we do loan Ki it's with an option to buy
I agree, I think the guy has actually looked one of our best players when he has come on this season, Jonjo wastes a lot of ball but ki uses it very well and doesn't over complicate things, which is what we need imo. Id be gutted if we loaned him out, out JDG, shelve and Ki its Ki that gets the vote for me so far
I was very impressed with him at Celtic, but ive not heard his name mentioned much since. Id be very suprised if Swansea let him go before Jan due to the Europa league. The Geordies showed last year that unless you have a big squad the Europa can severely threaten your Premierleague future!
Well the big squad thing is not really how Laudrup likes to work actually. He prefers to work with 22 players so that everyone gets games and feels included in the team/system. It would appear that us getting rid of Ki would mean we go down on midfield cover,id be surprised if that happens unless Laudrup has something special lined up in the shape of a loan for another player. Laudrup has also said that to lose anyone from his squad now will mean it would be extremely difficult to replace,so im guessing that he prefers it that everyone stays here. Unless Laudrup has lined up a big star to come into the team instead of Ki id be surprised he lets him go, having said that he is not a Laudrup signing so ...
If he does end up at Sunderland, tell Di Canio to make him tougher in the tackle. It's the one area that he needs to vastly improve on imo.
What do you mean? Laudrup signed him for 5 million I would be sad to see him leave for a few reasons. 1.He is a decent player. Good passer, I think he was in the top 5/10 most accurate passers last season in Europe? 2.He cost us £5 000 000, so it would be bad business. 3.He brings in a lot of interest from Korea, and generally we have done much better commercially since he joined. 4.We haven't seen his full potential. He can go for a few months, then come back maybe. Hope he gets games.
