It could, but just because one 2 Bundesliga player didn't make the step up, it doesn't mean another one wont. He's scored 53 goals in 116 games there and almost single handedly got Eintracht Braunschweig into the Bundesliga last season.

I definitely think he's looking but it's gotta be a good deal. £2million max I'd say. Imo if he wasn't looking we would only be linked to obvious rumours like Vaughan of sunderland or UK players. Doubt we'd be linked to a german striker and an inter milan striker by foreign papers without a little bit of truth.
Im guessing if we've done alright in the league and scored a few goals Bruce might wait until the January window to assess and consider new signings.. On the other hand if we have 0 points and have struggled to score... Personally id like to see a new striker signed before the window ends no matter what our form is like. I like the 4-3-3 formation but I think we need better than Graham in the striker role... Graham is ideal for the bench and as backup as he's sunderlands player...
I always said it would go down to deadline day. As there have been no-takers for McLean to help free-up some of the wages bill, I suspect Bruce is considering using Fryatt to finance one more move.
Mclean has had offers but he has yet to accept them. That is what a bunch of people have said including OLM.
I like the man, but all things considered, McLean has to a serious contender for our worst ever signing.
