Estudiantes have confirmed they have agreed a deal with Napoli for Duvan Zapata to move to Italy. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...tes-agree-deal-to-sell-duvan-zapata-to-napoli
Redknapp said the other day that we were no longer looking at him as he will be a star for the future, not now. That comment did confuse me - surely we want players who have a good future!
Think it was a round-about way of saying QPR can't compete with top-flight teams in the transfer market.
Not sure that was true in this case. Read somewhere he trained with us and wasn't that impressive, or it could be the work permit was easier for Napoli. Either way, it never got to the Harry 'imminent arrival' press conference (followed by counter bid from Fulham).
As I understand it Judo, the transfer policy is indeed not to go in for stars of the future. Much better to go for overpaid stars of the past, preferably in their 30s and with a questionable injury and/or disciplinary record.
I think Redknapp made some comment along the lines of 'this kid could have a massive future but that's not what we're looking for' FFS!!!
Can't see the reason being him being not good enough - why then would Napoli sign him? Either way, we knew he wasn't coming last week.
Lighten up mate. Just an attempt at mischievous humour based upon the majority of who we've been linked with, innit.
