We do need to give him a few more games but he was only signed because he's mates with the departing Cabaye. Is an international so he should come good - at some point

    This.

I would have to agree that so far, Debuchy looks no better than Danny Simpson.

He's had half a season so I will judge in May.
Remember how Colo and Jose started?

Quite well, then we changed manager and they forgot how to play.

I think Enrique would be a more comparable player. The difference is that he was quite young and learning the game, not an established international player.

To be fair to Debuchy french full backs seem to take a while to settle Sagna started alright at Arsenal and Evra was absolutely pap at Man Utd to start with unfortunately for us with Raylor out taking Debuchy out of the firing line isn't an option. But we'll see if he's up to the fight after West Ham and Fulham

I think that some players are just not suited for the premiership and I believe that Debuchy is one of them.

Hes a good player in his own right and apparently in france he was amazing.

But with no disrespect to the french league the general standard of football is not as good, physical and fast paced as the premiership.

I want him to prove me wrong but how long do we give him costing us, fouls, yellow cards, indiscipline and penaltys before we decide that he needs dropped.

Le10Sport: Paris Saint-Germain seeking a double transfer for Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy. There is contact, but no offer yet

Did say on Monday that Debuchy would be totally lost at NUFC without Cabaye, prospect of both leaving together? Real.

As I said in the Cabaye thread, this might be best for all parties. We should push for £30m, but of course we'd never buy a replacement defender at this stage. Santon at RB and Dummett/Haidara at LB it is.

What I don't get is why Cabaye encouraged Debuchy to come if he wanted out in the Summer. Stupid ****.

Cabaye probably urged Debuchy to come because, like the fans, he was filled with false promises of signing players.

January looked promising after a frustrating summer but here we are again with only a loan signing from a relegated club with a possible prison term hanging over him.

Whoop-di-****ing-do, if I was Cabaye I'd want out aswell.....

.....something needs to change soon, it's just a shame it's gonna take the sale of Cabaye to make incomings a dull possibility.
