Bad attitude, negative publicity, limited impact on the pitch BUT he is still only 20, people seem to forget that, he's just a kid and it is too early to judge him.

Agree, coming off the bench he made the best defences in the league look like Sunday League quality: skinned the entire Chelsea back four (home game), destroyed Liverpool (home game), made Michael Dawson look like Titus Bramble, and played a massive part in the revival in the 4-4. The quality is obviously there, a loan move couldnt be more ideal and we are instead letting him go.

Agree with Thriller, think he's done something pretty bad that we are as yet unaware of that was judged to be the final straw.

My other complaint with this is that the team often sucks late in games anyway. By the time Ranger comes on the midfielders are lagging and there's less attacking down the wings (aside from a few choice comebacks of course). Especially late winter when Ranger was getting a little more time, the team often struggled closing out the games and Ranger really didn't get many opportunities to score...yes, yes, he missed some great chances, but they were often ones he created out of nothing.
Is his attitude in question? Absolutely. But I wouldn't write off his ability based on this season.

Seen QPR mentioned once or twice? Surely with Ashley's business head on he'd keep any problems in house and then flog him to the highest/sole bidder?

Disappointed we've let him go and can see him turning into a top player else where.

Personally, the only two from our current crop I'd like to keep are Best and Lovenkrands. Both on low wages, both have good work rates and Lovenkrands' versatility and pace gives him more to his game than Shola imo.

Leon Best has something about him... I can't put my finger on it at the minute but every time I've seen him play he always looks threatening, and his movement/positioning has been excellent

Oh come one! A top player. As in Heskey-esque without the good attitude?

ACCORDING to the good men and women of Opta, the Premier League statisticians, Peter Lovenkrands is the third most accurate striker in England’s top division.

Trailing only Arsenal’s rough diamond Samir Nasri and Liverpool’s dependable Dirk Kuyt, United’s Great Dane apparently hit the target with 60% of the efforts unleashed from his Exocet left foot last term.

Because he's desperate to keep Ranger but doesn't want Lovenkrands because he doesn't score enough

HA, I see where your going with this but lets point out the facts, Ranger has only started one game, Lovenkrands has started almost every single game in the second half of the season and still only managed 6 goals....Lovenkrands is at the tail end of his career and wont improve, Ranger is a young lad who looks better every time he comes on a sub, terrorising defences such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal's.

I'd rather have Ranger a lad who can change the game when called upon and who has bags of potential (needs to be loaned out mind) than Lovenkrands who has already passed his best and his best wasnt even that good.
