Another City fan being condescending to another club. Norwich have spent more years in the top flight than ourselves. They have finished 3rd in the top flight and played in Europe, where they became the only British club to beat Bayern Munich at the Olympic Stadium. They have won 2 League Cups and being runners-up twice. And being to 3 FA Cup semi-finals.
If they are a tinpot club what does that make us?
They also have a ground and fans which generate far more atmosphere than ourselves, although admittedly that is not difficult. And, talking of grounds, their old ground manages to have virtually maximum capacity without the hundreds of empty seats for segregation that our supposedly state of the art Super Stadium requires.

Hopper pick up a knock in the pre-season friendly with Panithiniakos (however it is spelt before I get picked up for it ). It didn't look that bad but I think with RVW in the side, CH will be in no hurry to rush Hooper back. A kind of luxurious position we find ourselves in, and a rare one.

Redmond was on fire against a really good Everton side, will be interesting to see if he can be consistent though. His decision making needs some work, but he is highly promising <ok>

Can someone point out on that thread that Danny Graham never played for Swansea in the Championship? Ta.

Oh and this Van Wolfswinkel guy, not saying he isn't good but does anyone actually know anything about him or do we all think he's ace because he has a cool name?

Time to add a link celebrating one of our brethren then! If anyone's down in London any time soon:

I wonder how many of the 13 club names will still exist in another 100 years?

Great goalscoring record in Portugal for Sporting Lisbon. 45 goals in 88 games.

A fantastic striker who would be starting for the Netherlands if not for Van Persie (and possibly Huntelaar).

Also, speaking on the whole striker thing - you've just signed Elmander on loan - so it's not like you are lacking in depth up front if Hooper's out...

Like I said, I'm not saying he isn't good. It just seems like everyone's terrified of him without actually knowing why. I think if he was called Davies no one would care until he scores a few.

Oh and the image, yeah you need to upload it to a website such as Imgur and copy the BB code for it into a post. I tried to do it for you but can't get the original link for the image.

To be fair - the big club bias on the BBC is horrendous and our matches are very poorly covered, so this is no more a reflection of Hull than it is of Norwich. We are both smaller clubs in a league where the headlines go to a select few.

Reading what Chris Hughton has said in the media of late he wants Norwich to be very hard to beat on the road. So with the injuries he has got i expect CH to adopt a 4-5-1 system this saturday with Rip Van Winkel on his tod up top with Redmond and Snod-arse(if fit) in support.

So Steve Bruce i think will go with our favoured 3-5-2 formation to keep a status quo in midfield. It should make for a very interesting game. A draw would not be a disaster for us and gets us off Zero.

I can see Swanea(@ Spurs sunday) Newcastle(@ home to West Ham) Cardiff(@ home to Man City sunday) and Crystal Palace(@ stoke) all losing. But obviously a win would be better for the Tigers and keep us in mid-table.

On the article - very few Norwich fans with an ounce of knowledge of the last four years would agree with much of that.

It will be undoubtedly a touch match for us - they all are in the Prem. Even if we win 0-3 it will be because of a couple of defensive errors and a screamer rather than completely outplaying I imagine. All teams have their idiots - they tend to be on VitalFootball. Ignore that. Even if we spank you his article won't be any more correct. If you want reasonably knowledgeable Norwich fans' views, without the searing arrogance, there are plenty on our forum (though watch out for one or two of them...)

As I said on the other thread, if Hull are to win it will be 1-0. We only conceded more than 1 goal against bottom half teams twice last season - our defence is too strong. Most likely result is a 1-1/0-0 draw, followed by a narrow Norwich win then a narrow Hull win. I don't see it being a desperately exciting game I'm afraid, we tend to stifle matches away from home, unless against Swansea.

A draw would suit both teams at this stage of the season.

Gents - as a relatively small club in the PL you just need to accept that 95% of what is written about your club by fans of other clubs will be poorly researched garbage and that the opinons of one ill-informed quarterwit do not represent the vast majority of sane fans. While I'm on topic probably best not to bother to watch the first 3/4's of MOTD unless you either play in a 3-3 (or better) draw or one of the big boys stuffs five or so past you and if our experience of the past two seasons is anything to go by everyone will expect to double you and for you to get relegated and even if you stay up for a couple of seasons the bookies will still make you one of the favourites to go down.

If any of the above upsets or offends then probably best go into hibernation for a few months until May when you could have shocked all the pundits and stayed up or head back to the Championship.

You DO realise that we were in the Premier League very recently dont you? This is again extraorinarily patronising, like you've been in there 50 years unbroken like an Everton or Arsenal and we're in unchartered territory. Before you got promoted 2 seasons ago we'd been there more recently than you had.
