yeah , makes you wonder why clubs like Wigan and Swansea city even bother trying .. oh wait a sec...... you do come out with some stuff Toledo , but that is just awesome .
I think you are mistaking the word success for "win". Yes, Wigan and Swansea won a cup, but that is picking the lottery winner after they win. It isn't very smart to use logical fallacies and expect everyone to fall for them. Or perhaps you don't understand why this argument is flawed? Laudrup would have been a "Success" even without the cup win. Martinez was a failure? perhaps even with the cup win. It makes no difference to the argument.
ahh yes the old successful without winning anything arguement . Thats why we are all so contented. I think if you asked any Swansea fan if their season was success or not , they would say yes . They wouldnt have to summon their accounts dept first .
no one . He cant be replaced . he is the only coach in the world , when he retires Arsenal will shut up shop.
You are suggesting that you can be successful without ever winning a competition . My question to you is , how long can this be considered successful ?
Can you add a 3rd option of 'Don't Know' ? I really don't know anymore, and I've said all along I'll reserve (some) judgement on the man until after the window closes...
When a manager is part of the board then there is no controlling him as no matter how much he gets proven wrong he will always do it his way. When he was just a manager with no other interests he was at the top of the pile but even though i have always defended him i think now he should move on for the sake of the club....arsenal are stale and very predictable these days and a very expensive club to follow with nothing to show for it...new blood needed with new ideas...
Laudrup not liked by Swansea hierarchy - they see him as too easy/laid back/not committed, I think they would have been quite happy if Everton had made a bid for him in the Summer...
You must be joking ...Laudrup is committed and he could have moved to bigger and better things but he stayed for another season. He is worshipped by everyone connected with the swans....
Not joking at all, I know from people who get paid to research football. If you sit on the Swansea board or know someone who does then you may be better informed than me....
