I swear all this "potential" bollox I've listened to all year, the boy has had plenty of game time, only ever made impacts as a sub, when given full games was dog **** and most importantly DIDN'T SCORE A SINGLE LEAGUE GOAL! Some striker with "potential"! His attitude sucks as well, so in all honesty he won't be a miss with us looking at so many attacking signings as well ass HBA and Leon Best who's earned his right to challenge for a place.

Bye bye Ranger, next Drogba my ass.

He's still got 4 years left on his contract, it'll do absolutely no harm to loan him out for a full season. In fact it'll do the world of good.

I worry for him if he ends up at QPR. Not for footballing reasons, I just dread to think what he'll do when living in London

Cant for the life of me understand this one. Why wouldnt we just loan him out? He will be streets ahead of Shola, Lover and probably Best if he gets playing time somewhere else. Think we'll regret this one.

  9. All he hasn't done is score, his overall ability is ****ing immense. Have you seen the difference on the team when Shola comes off and Ranger comes on? Ranger brings immediate impact. He works very well with the team, he's extremely fast and powerful, and can trouble any defender. All he needs is confidence infront of goal.

It wouldn't be fair to let him go now. Alot of players need a loan move or a CC season to get themselves going.

    Danny Simpson
Andy Carroll - Didn't start scoring often until half way through CC season
Kevin Nolan - Found goalscoring form, and that carried on to our PL season.
Lua Lua - Still needs alot of work, but you can see the good that his L1 move did for him. He played his part in the 2nd goals vs Chelski. Anyone who critisizes him after 2 sub apps in the PL is a ****ing idiot.

    I'd loan him to Brighton.

The Carroll point is a good one, if 606 is still going there's articles from like November when we were in the Championship saying he's ****e and we should be dropping him. We chose to give him games over Ranger, and look how that turned out.

Its a good point, but facts are a bit off - Carroll scored his first goal against Blackpool in September, so hardly half way through the season...All the same, the point remains that Carroll didn't look like a proper decent player until he'd had a good run. Having said that, everyone always said Carroll looked desperate to learn and was sometimes told to leave the training fields!

Ranger's ****e. Some footballers you can tell just won't make it. If he wasn't a headless chicken, or if he knew where the net was, or if he had a good attitude, or if he appeared to be improving, or if he had any fitness then I could understand keeping him. As it is, I'd loan him out for a year in the CCC, if there's no improvement then bye

  15. Rangers problem is on the field where as Carroll was eager to be an NUFC player and wanted to learn the game. However, Ranger seems to have sorted his life out off the pitch, where as Carroll had us worred he'd be in jail for the next game.

I still dont see why ten minute sub apps and 2 starts is "giving someone a chance". Seriously, what harm would a loan to the Championship have done? Blackpool wanted him in the PL this season.

  17. You can't really judge Ranger until he's had a row of starts. Sub appa aren't giving someone a proper chance

    Exactly this.

Hes got every attribute going for him to be class! Good in the air, powerful, quick, good shot on him, and hes assisted quite a few goals from the bench, Bartons vs Liverpool and Taylor's vs Chelsea off the top of my head.

The goals will come if hes given a proper crack of the whip, needs a season on loan.

Don't speak too soon mate, he's only been out of the news for a few months...All it takes is for one drunken mistake and he'll be right back in it!

Also, can anyone actually confirm that he is/isn't a NUFC player. I'm confused by these reports?!?!

  20. He signed a 5 year contract, so i doubt Ashley payed off his contract. He's been told to find a new club so he can be sold, so he's still on contract with us and therefore still a NUFC player.
