Gutted to see Punch go. Our outstanding player for the first half of last season. He found form and confidence when we were looking certs for the drop. Best of luck!!
It's something we're pushing on, seemingly. Jason is going though. Fair play for the club in being supportive with his personal life.
I am a little disappointed that he is going to Palace. In a way its good as we hopefully won't be fighting relegation so he cannot directly affect our position. However I feel Palace will get relegated and don't think Punch deserves that. Wish him luck nonetheless
definately, one of my favourite players last season, purely the way he turned it around and seems loved by everyone. What is his family reasons (without prying), I wasnt aware of anything in particular ?
Its why I loved the pre season uncovered video's, really showed a side of the lads we never see. Puncheon seemed the class clown which every club needs !!!
I wouldnt expect you to ! I was asking incase anything was mentioned before in the press and I missed it.
True but I think it's still a decent move for him in football terms, he'll surely get regular games there and if he does well but Palace go down, he'll still have advanced his reputation for a move somewhere else or return here.
Midfield is one area where we have a plethora of talent. It's tough to see where Punch will fit in with so many midfielders already. Good luck to Punch if he does move on.
My source told me this at the start of the transfer window but we must of rejected it. He reckons we are getting in someone else better which is why he's going on loan
It's foolish to sell Puncheon. He was very good last season and strangely frozen out the starting lineup at the end of the season. He came off the bench and scored the goal that sealed safety against Sunderland.
Have you not read any of the posts? It's obvious he is moving for personal reasons. It's not like Saints wanted to lose him but it's the right thing to do.
