My only negative was that Walters started with Crouch and Adam was dropped in favour of Whelan, I would have liked complete change from last terms line up. In his defence he needs to make assessments before dropping players.

When we heard the team news Smither's most said. Pennant and Adam should have started. I would also have brought Jerome on, not Jones. Walters? didn't do that much tbh. One great shot first half but spoilt a good day out, by missing a pen. AGAIN! In fairness to Crouch, the guy didn't have much as I thought Ehter's was poor as was Whelan. I'm sure that MH will see what happened and sort it for the Palace game.

I suppose it's difficult to judge him on a previous managers squad, my assessment will be based on how his line up and formation changes as he evolves and develops the team.

Jeezuz wept...what is pre season all about?

Anybody persisting with Etherington, Whelan, Crouch, Walters and Jones....absolutely ridiculous.

'We passed the ball' well yippee bloody dee.

A premier league football team passing the ball...waddya know, they'll be scoring goals next.
    Hang on...

It was reported on Radio Stoke that MH is not in fact in Spain but he flew to Turkey. Perhaps he has gone to watch Tuncay

So now we are buying Turkeys...nothing new there then.

Just a point about buying somebody or hopefully more than one body is that by leaving it so late in the transfer window, the selling club has to replace the outgoing player, if they are any good of course.

United's bid for the pair from Everton is a point in question.

Is all of the increased TV money going to repay the Coates Family??, or increase Shotton's salary...just wondering.

Deja Vu again and again and again and again and again

You have a point there Nicky..
I take another positive from Saturday's game. SHOTTON was not even on the bench!! Something has changed, all be it only something. I would think in honesty that
Fella Nini and Baines are to pricey for Stoke. That said, I might be after Hughes head IF we don't bring in a very good striker. Sent Walters to Turkey, he can get stuffed.

Too right Potts. I take all of your points onboard mate and am delighted that you are going on away trips to support your beloved Stoke.

Honestly though, just cannot get excited about it anymore, that's my problem and I really should not be so negative so early in the season and upset everybody on here.

everyone is entitled to their opinion Nicky, I just feel that he needs a few more games before anyone judges him. To do it after one game away at Anfield, and with the transfer window still open too is very harsh in my opinion, but that is just my opinion

    Up the potters!!!!

No, you've misunderstood. He managed a small fireplace shop in St. Ives. Apparently worked wonders for their profit margins.
