Exactly. I don't blame the lad for wanting to go, good move for him. That's football.

    Spot on.
He's a self confessed depressive and finds it difficult when he isn't in the right frame of mind.
We could have a big problem if we don't sell.

We better get a ****ing replacement in though. If we don't then it's basically like the club want us to go down. I don't usually believe in such things, but getting rid of your main playermaker and not replacing him is suicide.

I await the old classic "well this is Pardew's fault because we were **** last season" ignoring that he wanted off last summer

If Cabaye had any b**** about him he would have players tonight and got on with his job as a professional footballer. He gets well paid for it and should have respect for us the fans.

Look at Wayne Rooney at the weekend. He might want to be away from Man U, but it didn't stop him playing and setting up two goals for his team. That's what professionals do, not run home with his tail between his legs claiming my head isn't right so I cant play. Bollocks...

To be honest him not playing was pathetic, as you say just lacked a set of bollocks and a bit of professional integrity. Shameful.

He's done here. Fcking fanny. Good riddance. Shame there's no chance we'll get a replacement like.

Oh and whilst it is not necessarily Pardews fault, the fact he has pinned some of the blame for the defeat on this is shameful.

    Bidding war! BIDDING WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, Arsene must have called every other Centre Midfielder in the world, twice, before picking up the phone to the anonymous beardy who apparently played for us last season... I maintain Cabaye's just another deluded, sexy and utterly fictitious imagining of my schizophrenic mind. Like ACS <ok>

I dunno who to be more angry at over this latest debacle.

Pardew can shut up moaning because he's been talking up flogging Cabaye ALL summer, probably because he's been told it's the ONLY way JFK will spend any money whatsoever. Lied to basically.

Will we ever know whether Cabaye heard of bid and refused to play OR the club ruled our most imminently floggable asset can't be risked?

Pardew reckons it's "of course" inevitable and perfectly excusable for a the player's "head to be turned" under what? These circumstances?

    A) Bid arrives from another club in what it's fans would describe as 'turmoil'
    B) Bid is grossly and insultingly undervalued
    C) Bid timing smacks of desperation having had ALL summer to lodge genuine interest
    D) Player is seemingly focused, fit, raring to go for NUFC according to earlier reports

Are we such a horrible prospect at the moment that professional, well payed and idolised people are so quick to do a runner at the first whiff of interest?

Yohan Cabaye has had a summer off on a ludicrously inflated salary, a pre-season preparing for and looking forward to today's match.
Why the hell is it fair for anyone to accept that a grossly unrealistic, initial bid from another club on the eve of an opening fixture is excuse enough NOT to do your current job.
A decent principled bloke, with I might add genuine world-class ability, would insist on playing under those circumstances and play an absolute blinder.

But the NUFC supporters who pay stupid money to follow him around chanting "Don't sell Cabaye" when he's frankly anonymous don't deserve that courtesy.

It's a good job that those lot tonight who still flocked to the Etihad, preparing to watch through their hands at a performance most expected, aren't so easily swayed.
I'm sure many "had their heads turned" by Chelsea and Man United's performances this weekend. Good job they aren't so quick to jump ship innit?

Hurry up and get him out to the highest bidder and if they don't meet our valuation, see how a stint in the reserves "turns his head"...

I don't normally have that much interest in how others club are getting on in Europe, but after yesterday's destabilisation of Cabaye, all I can say is.

    Good luck Fenerbache on Wednesday.
