I wanted him here, but I think a 3yr deal is a bit silly. Or maybe I've read too many of flyers posts.
No big deal. Would've been a good signing but perhaps we should concentrate on attracting players who actually think moving to QPR is them advancing their career.
Why all the angst? He was never coming Heres another newsflash - Defoe won't be coming either What annoyed me was Bond saying 'we lack creativity - we need to get some' ...... only days after we sanction our most creative players move to Fulham going to be a hard season unless we get another top drawer striker and another quality midfielder to replace barton
The move was sanctioned because Adel was demanding it. Smell the coffee for goodness sake. You make it sound like they forced Adel out. Once we were down, he was gone.
QPR taking serious stick on Twitter now, there are some bitter twats out there. Really ****ing hope we go up this season now.
Good player but three years?. If we had signed him for that period Flyer would have gone into meltdown
Fcuk him! O'Neil was a revelation on Saturday and (never thought I'd say it) we do need to keep Barton - a Barton with the attitude he has a present ...and Harry has to have a few more strings to his bow while the transfer window is open (and keep his trap shut until deals are done)
It is a shame to miss out on his signing but another CM isn't our main priority We desperately need a winger, a left back and to wrap up the signing of Chris Baird (who gives us cover in CM and CB) I'd like us to actively pursue these players; Oussama Assaidi - Liverpool Nick Powell - Man Utd Nathaniel Chalobah - Chelsea Ezekial Fryers - Tottenham Thomas Eisfield - Arsenal
Not a bit surprised. Hopefully we have others lined up instead. Harry does need to watch what he says. I wouldn't say TF is too impressed at losing out on Parker and Hooper.
Pretty happy with O'Neill... think Barton will leave though... hopefully the (very vocal and obvious) approaches for unwilling Premiership players (Parker & Townsend) are a smokescreen for some truly 'mind-blowing' (or even acceptable) alternatives over the next couple of weeks.
I agree that we need young talent that will be honoured to play for us not some old chap collecting his final pay day
I agree with finglas. Not at all surprised, but indeed Harry should be quiet unless a deals in the bag.
Not bothered about Parker, he's overated, and a sick note in the making. A 3 year deal, the fools must be mad. I'm more concerened about Harry's constant leaking to the press about our targets, whether or not it affects the outcome (which it probably doesnt). we should do our business quitely.
