Mr Gullible's Europa Leeg Match Thred

    Swansea Sitty

    v.

    Petrol Plots II

    Venew: Libutty Stadium

    Thursday Orgust 22nd 2013

    Kick Off: 7.05am

Meeting of the Abergarngochdulais Branch of the Swansea Sitty Supporters Club at the Stag and Dalek Pub

In Attendance: Mr Gullible (Secretary), Tarquin (Chairman), Molly (Treasurer), Algernon (Committee Member), Annabelle Fortescue-Smythe (Tarquin's new girlfriend), Auntie Betty (She gave me a lift)

Item 1 on the ajjenda was which country Petrol Plots II came from. It was unanimussly agreed that they come from Rhiw-mania. Annabelle Fortescue-Smythe (AFS) asked why Rhiw-mania was called Rhiw-mania. Tarquin said it dated back to the 1960s and was partly to do with the Welsh. (For the benefit of any English readers, the welsh for hill = rhiw). In 1963 a large number of Welsh teenage girls got a bit too carried away with Beatle mania and were deported for their own safety. They were sent to the mountainous part of Rhiw-mania and instead of screaming at The Beatles and all the ‘Paul, I love you' stuff they had to settle for screaming at the hills instead and this became known as ‘Rhiw Mania’ and the name stuck. Yes, strange but trew!!

Item 2 on the ajjenda was the name of the opponents. There was lots of questions like if they are Petrol Plots II what happened to Petrol Plots I? Tarquin said he knew this as well. That’s why he is Chairman coz he knows lots of stuff, like. It goes back to the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 by Guy Forks. If his plan failed he wanted a back-up plot so he got in touch with some Rhiw-Manian terrorist organization and there plan was to drive a petrol tanker under the Houses of Parliament and then blow it up. There was a problem with this plot becoz at the time petrol hadn’t been invented and also that Rhiw-manian driving licences weren’t valid in the UK.

Item 3 on the ajjenda is the Petrol Plots II teem, but like with Malmoo nobody present new any of there players so we started to think of famuss Rhiw-Manians wot we new.
    1) Count Dracula (vampire)
    2) Ilie Nastase (tennis player)
    3) Nadia Comaneci (olympic gymnast)
    4) Hagi (footballer)
    5) Adrian Mutu (ex-Chelsea junkie footballer)
    6) Nicolae Ceaușescu (dictator)
    7) The Cheeky Girls
    8) err.......
    9) umm........
    10) no that’s it.

Item 4 on the ajjenda is how we thunked the game would go. We all agreed that the Swans wood win. However, Annabelle Fortescue-Smythe expressed some concerns that certain Petrol Plots players could come from Transylvania and may be vampires. She was sure that Laudrup would give all our players some wooden steaks, a hammer, a cross and some garlic. Algernon said that any player who looked like sinking their teeth into one of our players should be jumped on immediately and Canas should drive a steak into him without any delay. Molly said that would be a red card offence. Aunty Betty thawt that lugging all those steaks and hammers about would slow down our passing game.

Item 5 on the ajjenda woz our predikshan. We are going for Swansea 3 Petrol Plots II 1

Llanelli educated, ex-Tory party leader Michael Howard is from Romanian extraction.
I would suggest he could be a threat from the right-wing.

Obviously this depends on whether we allow Ceausescu to dictate things in the middle of the park.

I believe they may possess a lethal striker also, Vlad the Impaler.

I love the pub name :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Got to beat the Rhiw-Manians so he can do more. Is it group stage when you get through?

Guys does anybody know what time kick off is. Have ordered my tickets awaiting arrival.

The ridiculous thing is my boy is training at the accademy and they havent brought training time forward so my boy will be training till 8pm. (****ing mental if you ask me keeping young swans away from watching the first team play) Just wondering of how much of the game he will get to see.

The ticket says 1905 kick off but theres stories about a 2005 KO time , ( and don't expect any changes either, from the training times )

Bony, it just seems stupid, not to train earlier and allow the boys to go and watch the game.

I agree ,sometimes I feel the 'management' at the Academy think they're doing the kids a favour and they have to fit into individual coaches personal time .But thats just my opinion obviously <whistle>

That's crazy lads, not to change times of the training. My boys training at Pompey get's changed if it clashes with any of the first team games.

Johnny Weissmuller is likely to feature in goal, apparently has a clean pair of hands and is very adept at swinging from the crossbar and catching a coconut......
