Graeme Bailey broke the story and he's normally very reliable. Wish they could have waited until after the game...

    "Bye bye baby bye bye..................."

Ah well, maybe we might spend some money once they get some in.

I don't know if Arsenal will bid upwards of 20m and it will take that for Ashley to sell. Although I can see Yohan handing in a transfer request to force it through.

I expect Ashley to hold out for £25M.

He won't solve Arsenals problems. If we get 20 plus million I won't mind as long as well reinvest it which we most likely won't.

    This.

And the fact they've bid hours before the first game of our season will add a few million to the price as well knowing Ashley.

13m. I assume we'd be looking for 20m plus. In no way is he worth it but let's face it, it won't be difficult to start a bidding war. I expected he would go so I think we now need to get the best price and still leave some time to use the cash. Last minute sale is my prediction. We'll sign another striker before the deadline but no Cabaye replacement. Then strengthen in January, not the way we should do it but probably how they will like to do it.

If we bring in a winger and a striker and sell Cabaye I will be happy.

George Caulkin has just confirmed the bid was infact on 10m! He's the most reliable journalist on twitter in my opinion. He's also added the bid will be rejected as "derisory" by Newcastle.

Suppose you cash plus a player, is there anyone you would like? Within reason obviously.

Giroud (not sure that's within reason though). Other than that not really, Ramsey is poor, Diaby always injured, Walcott, Ox, Wilshere & Cazorla all obviously not within reason and I wouldn't touch any of the defenders or keeper.

Can only see a cash deal due to the above really. It will have to be over double the current bid though.

I wouldn't want any that would be realistic. I'd like to think it could be reinvested using our own scouting network. Personally I'd like to see us go and buy Ince, Rhodes and McCarthy with the money plus the funds we already have.

Went to check that as I follow him but didn't see it on my timeline. Only to discover I don't follow him, so I pressed follow but turns out he blocked me <laugh>

I can only assume it was for calling Darren Bent a prick when he tweeted that he had a chat with him after Saturday's game

Kinnear has said that Arsenal's bid of £10m is an insult to his inteligence..........£7m and he'd consider it.

I was at the Arsenal game on Saturday.I have no idea why Ramsay was starting ahead of Cazorla (fitness?!) The ref was terrible but Arsenal were pretty crap and Seem to be desperately missing a proper Centre forward, they really should have bid properly and got Higuian (no idea how you spell it).

10m is never happening with the mad valuations in th PL i'd take 18m+.

Really not sure why we have sent Adam C out on loan this month when Remy is injured for a month...... The way this window is going we are going to be glad we kept Gosling just to fill the gaps of players like Perch and Simpson.
