Watched it in a bar in Spain so hard to see the game properly. Chelseawere brilliant first half an hour, after seeing the way Swansea knocked it around and then that I was bricking it. But we got better once the nerves settled, game had gone by then though.

Huddlestone different class even in that short period.

    Huddlestone
    Brady
    McGregor

I gave it to Huddlestone as he completely changed the game, nearly went Elmo but decided the penalty save and trying to twat Torres swung it for McGregor.

Starting to count up now so you've got about 5 minutes left.

Where was Thudd? I thought more people said him than Elmo...

Probably just be a mistake on my part though.

Huddlestone got 23 points, Elmo got 49 so there was a fair bit of difference between them. Elmo got a lot of first palces (for some reason; I thought he was only of our worst personally, his crossing was shocking)

Interesting that most national papers had Elmo MoM, only one who could have played in Chelsea's team said one pundit. I'm not one of his biggest fans, but thought he looked confident on the ball, took players on and was mostly successful, his crossing could've been better i agree.

If Thud had played the full game like he did the 30 mins he was on then maybe, but to be fair he came on when Chelsea had eased up a bit so its difficult to know how he would have coped with them in the first half, or whether he was partly responsible for our ascendency.

    The coming weeks will tell.

You must have been watching a different game than me. Elmo was outstanding...phenomenal energy level....gave Cole a real roasting. By far our best player on the day. Thudd was also impressive but only played half the game. Could be a major factor against Norwich. Very disappointed in Meyler but first game of the season so its hard to judge. Other big disappointment was Graham who looked disinterested. But he had no service in the first 30 minutes.

I read a bit of a Chelsea forum yesterday and one poster was talking about how Cole may be past his best. He commented that "all Hull's best work came down our [Chelsea's] LH side" - in other words, where Elmo was raiding.

I thought Elmo was good but not great, his crosses weren't finding anybody and I thought that he left too much room between himself and Chester in defence. I would like to see Elmo played in front of Rosie as it would allow him to cross from closer to the goal, causing more problems, and meaning we were more defensively secure.

What happened to McG? I thought he'd be in the top 3.
