I thought Palace fans were noisy today. I haven't watched us on TV yet. "Welbeck" wasn't a lot of fun was he?

No idea, but all I know is that you have no right to criticise those who did make it if you weren't there.

You really are either a plank or ****ing stone deaf. You could hear the Hull Supporters over the commentary FFS. "We are Hull", " Steve Bruce" to name but two chants that I and several other people I was watching the match with heard.

Palace we're literally terrible against Spurs. At least we got the ball down and played a bit of football after the first 30 minutes and looked semi-dangerous against the favorites for the title. As Swanny says, we won't have a game as hard as that for the rest of the season.

I couldn't afford to go so I watched it online; even through the ****ty sound quality you could hear our fans. Obviously when we were 2-0 down in the first half there were going to be some disappointed fans and it takes the wind out your sails. When we were playing well, you could hear us over the Chelsea fans.

And I think you'll find Sheffield Wednesday have had loads of plastics in the past. Especially during their PL years.

Read the place forum and some of their fans said when huddlestone and livermore came on, that we looked a cut above them even against chelsea, they sounded a tad anxious

I known it's the first game and cardiff will substantially improve but they didn't have a shot in target against west ham, atleast we had more than a couple against chelsea

Palace fan on 606 argued that they were the best of the promoted teams as they only conceded 1 goal and the others conceded 2! Surprised he did not claim that they were better than Swansea as well on that basis.

They'll come up against better teams than a Bale-less Spurs this season.

I'm in the minority, I know, but I don't mind holloway. So he's complaining about decisions against smaller clubs and the big boys getting them. Brucey will be doing that when we are in a tight game too.

Spurs were no Chelsea but I thought palace did ok. Great double save from loris.

Palace worked their arses off yesterday and didnt give Spurs any time on the ball whatsoever. Unfortunately we simply couldnt get near the ball for half an hour yesterday!

IMO, Chelsea compared to Spurs is comparing the Champions League to Europa League, and where I expect each of them to finish this season.

Any one else who was there at Palace that night last season will never get over that, I've never come away from a game feeling so robbed in my entire life. By their players and the referee, a Kevin Phillips hat trick, one a penalty almost saved, the next a scuff into the ground from 10 yards which bounced up and over everyone and the final from 30 yards deflected.

****ing awful, and how after Palace getting over 20 penalties last season Holloway even dares criticise a referee after one game is incredible. Arsehole.

Ian Holloway had a good point. It was a harsh pen award and i doubt that Palace would have got that @ WHL.
But the big teams have been favoured for years so it is no surprise. He needs to get a grip and stop whinging.

Harsh? He had his hand up in the air in an unnatural position, it was one of the most blatant penalties you will see this season.
