Looks like they have got plenty of players to fill in for Bale... in the 'biggest diver of the season' category! Embarrassing.
Seeing Soldado score and Paulinho get `man of the match' you have to wonder why we didn't go for either one. They're good enough, they're in positions we need, and we could have done with both of them yesterday. If we can't do better than Spurs in the transfer market, something is wrong at the club. Simple as that. I would have accepted Gustavo and Higuain as better, but it seems we didn't care enough to sign them. So who are we after now that's better than what Spurs have bought? And don't tell me Rooney, because that's bollocks created by the media.
We could have done with almost all of Spurs' signings. Capoue, Chadli, Paulinho and Soldado... Yes please. If they keep Bale I'm not sure anyone can argue that they would have a seriously stronger squad now. And a better first team too just about (if Bale stays). However, I'm sure AW will be correct that the right players weren't available for the right money... Hmm... Anyone know if the season ticket reminder emails I get fortnightly are 'replyable' to?!
You being serious? Their first 11, with or without Bale puts yours to shame. I'm also not trying to WUM, I'm just saying what I see from a neutral position. The crazy thing is you had/have the money to strengthen but you haven't as of yet - and for me Spurs have had a very good transfer window.
AW covered that one, other clubs moved to quickly and french clubs something or the other have a lot of money...
They have the better GK, our defense trumps theirs, our midfield edges theirs and they have better forwards (when all fully fit)
Sigh, his excuses are wearing thin. Coming from AW, it doesn't mean a lot either. Our team struggled for 4th last season, and he thinks the same team can challenge for the title this time. He's a bloody loon now in my book. Would take a lot for him to restore some faith.
Talent wise I'd say about even. Fully fit ours has more balance. I'd say now they have the edge because f more depth but with some signings we'd be stronger again
Ah that explains it. I guess the forum transfers these things over when people change names. Explains the neg-rep too
Arsenal and spurs midfields are quite different. We are more attacking and creative whereas spurs are stronger and more powerful. But the big difference is Spurs have the depth which we don't. We sustain any injuries and we are in trouble, they have cover. They have more defensive cover where we don't. We needed that DM in the window but didn't get one. We are now suffering now
I hope so but the bid was rejected a while ago and nothing has transpired since. We've been far too laid back with this window but expect a more urgent wenger now that the worst looks to have happened. Always plan for the worst otherwise you'll get caught with your pants down.
