YES there is still time to make signings, we ****ing realize that, but have we improved our chances of getting ambitious players? How about if we had shown intent by getting a few solid additions to the squad (like we did last transfer window by this point if I might add), which would help us in our bid to attract world class players? How anyone can think that having left it this late improves our chances of getting the "quality" we need is beyond me. I'm sure ambitious players are dying to play for Arsenal at this point. Hype up how you're going to turn things around with your budget and what not, proceed to sign **** all for 3 months when ALL of your departments need reinforcements, then start the season with the most thin squad in the Premier League, and proceed losing 1-3 to the mighty Villa at home. Yes, we've definitely improved our odds at attracting players and signing them up "when the real business is done". AKA panic buy the 2nd/3rd alternative in the pecking line hour.
Fenerbahce are currently winning 1-0 against (insert bizzarre Turkish name here). Yobo with the goal.
Pffftt just saw RvP's goals... His first was like a 3x harder situation to Giroud's chance in the second half and he aces it.
I think i've got past the stage of wanting to punch RVP whenever he's on TV. maybe it's the sad realisation that he made the right call, and is far too good for us?
Nah, he was never too good for us, remember, we sold him for 'footballing' reasons, **** him, he ain't no Giroud or Sanogo.
I have to agree that considering our summer so far, had RVP stayed he would just be looking for an exit this transfer window. Can't 100% agree though as i think considering what the club gave to him he owed Wenger and the club a bit longer. Don't hold it against him as much though considering how Utd have done and how we have done.
Palace are shocking & a fraction of the team Villa are, but they are still holding the filth to 0-0. So much for buying lots of quality players
I don't understand why Palace paid £6 million for that Gayle. £6 million for a non league player is just moronic, for comparison, spurs paid £6 million for Chadli, who's a Belgian international.
New club, new country, new language, new culture, unsettled family, it's all part of the familiarisation process, players need a few weeks to adapt (even the great Dennis Bergkamp did). Which makes our failure to bring in quality players until the last 2 weeks of August (assuming they do arrive) all the more astonishing...
It was a blatant handball, it was definitely a penalty. They should have had one just before that too.
