It's been discussed on another thread, so I thought I'd ask who you all thought were the 5 best players in the 2nd tier over the course of the 2010/2011 season.

    My Five:

    1. Scott Sinclair (Swansea City)
    2. Kasper Schmeichel (Leeds United)
    3. Danny Graham (Watford)
    4. Wes Hoolahan (Norwich City)
    5. Andy King (Leicester City)

    1. Scott Sinclair
    2. Adel Taarbart
    3. Max Gradel
    4. Danny Graham
    5. Wes Houlahan

Morison, McGougan, Ambrose and Shane long would also probably make my top 10.

Liam Rosenior - Hull City (best attacking RB in this league)
Nathan Dyer - Swansea (seemed more consistent than Sinclair)
Adel Taarabt - DQPR (not in either game against us, but the course of the season he looked decent)
Grant Holt - Norwich (just a handful)
Can't think of a 5th that really stood out? Maybe Morison?

Nathan Dyer, Adel Taraabt (unfortunate, but true), Grant Holt, Danny Graham, Steve Morrison.

    Someone section this guy!

I never feel inclined to comment on stuff like this, I feel I'd need to have seen at least eight or nine games from each team to fairly comment. But Max Gradel should definitely be up there, he's had a stunning season. Schmeichel shouldn't make the top thirty.

I just based it on players I'd seen play well against us, in other games I'd seen or in 'bigger' games, such as the PO Final.

Fair enough. I respect that you only have one striker in there: midfields, defenses and goalies are all too often neglected in these lists.

He was consistently below average in the second half of the season. His shot-stopping was probably about what you'd expect of a Championship keeper but all the other areas of his game have been lacking and his attitude is simply not Leeds. You can tell which family he comes from.

Let it be mentioned now that Loiner dislikes KS more than most Leeds fans. Personally I would say:

    1. Robert Snodgrass
    2. Max Gradel
    3. Jonny Howson
    4. Luciano Becchio
    5. Kasper Schmeichel

    Obviously .

It depends how you define 'best', there's players that lack flare, but play an improtant part in their teams performances, as Ash did for us. With this in mind, I'd say Derry was a very important player this season.

In addition to those already mentioned, I'd say Whittingham and Wellens deserve a mention.

Well if the top 5 players in the Championship are all TWS you must have a seriously shyte manager.

Truth is you have just two players of any note, Snodgrass and Gradel and you will probably lose both of them this Summer.

    It's true. <laugh>

I usually hate fans on the internet who criticize one player over and over again but there's just something so disagreeable about Kasper.
