Rochester is a fine town, especially during the Dickens Festival. The shopping lanes, cathedral and castle make this place one of England's little gems. Just over the bridge is Strood. Now that is a ****-pit of epic proportions. Thetford and Wickford are pretty horrid, too.

According to Wikipedia, the biggest Tesco in the UK is in my home town Walkden, Salford.
