agger had his eyes closed as usual. his way of heading is to close his eyes and hope. always has been which is why he rarely gets anything on target from set piece too.

Shows good creativity from us but also highlights our poor finishing. The 3 players we have on there created 14 between them. Henderson, Sturridge, Johnsion and Enrique probably take that in to the 20's between them.

 

That save & celebration has been rewound & played more times than John Barnes v Brentford

 

We've already got more points now than we did 5 games in to last season.

I'm a little late to the party but good start to the season. Stoke are a very stubborn side but we created a lot of chances despite us usually struggling to unlock their defence.

Also, is it a coincidence that our attack looks so fluid without Downing in it?

 

no i think that's a point. no back passing constantly.

Johnson seems to have a lot more freedom without a block in front of him as aspas wanted inside the whole time. sturridge ran that right channel when we were breaking fast but otherwise it was fluid.
