Who else can perform and change the game in our team apart from JET??

Watching for the first time this season he is clearly a cut above the rest, his ball control, strength dribbling and skills was brilliant yesterday, plus his fantastic goal scoring record he's clearly our key man.

If we lose him we will be in deep trouble..

Every team has that stand out player, our only trouble is when we lose JET. Make a team without him in it and we look ****. I don't know if its because we don't have no wingers? We have Bryan and Wagstaff which doesn't fill me with excitement and much optimism. Also has anyone took any notice at our bench and how weak it looks? Players like Reid, Parish, Burns, Fontaine. So little quality and experience............. SOD needs to pull his finger out and replace Davies and Adomah!

Baldocks persistence and a kid named Bryan with the ability to use two feet beyond standing on yesterday helped change the game. It's not a one man team.

I would disagree, he has the ability to beat a man in a tight space, go either side and cross the ball with either foot. He is more like McCindoe than Adomah, which in itself is a very good thing. There appears to be a real football brain here on young shoulders. Fingers crossed the potential develops.

I doubt that Emmauelle Thomas will change games evey week. He will need a platform provided by others. That platform is the one that will help change a game not a Emmerson, McGeady spin and so forth seventy metres from goal as eye catching as they are. Those skills need a team to get them into areas to be effective.

The simple things change games as well e.g Yesterday where tempo nearly got a result.

I am more optimistic about Joe Bryan than any player coming through the ranks than ... I struggle to remember the last significant one. He looked better than senior pros yesterday. Whispers are around the club are he could be a really could be a good one.

One ball can change a game. Bryan appears to be able to hit the box. Adomah might beat the man but then ? It went awry.

We had two stand out players a couple of years back Maynard and Adomah it was all they could do to keep us in the championship. Jay E Thomas has all the skills needed to be one of the best players in the country what he has apparently lacked in the past was application and a manager prepared to allow him the freedom in a team setting to perform, well he has the manager now what we need to see is does he have the application? What could end up being crucial is making sure we have the right team set up for the players we are playing It seemed that yesterday S O'D realized early on that Jay and Killa in a team is giving too much work for the other players we can only really afford to have one of them on the pitch at a time unless we are already winning easily and for me that means Kilkenny on the bench at best.

Good to see JET performing so well, but I will reserve judgement a little longer before I herald him too much, fans from every team he has played for has said he has always started like this in August but post August he is a very different player. Now I truly hope SOD is bringing the best out of him and will continue to do so and if come Dec he is still dragging the team by their boot strings then I will get excited.

Joe Bryan strikes me as one who will do a very consistent job for the team. Most of the time we may not even notice him as he goes about his job efficiently and quietly.

But as he has shown on several occasions , remembering one away game last season when one brilliant bit of work wide left and a great inch perfect cross for goal.

So he also has the ability to do such things though maybe not as often as JET yet.

My dad is a hugh Plymouth fan and he was raving about Joe there last season, albeit in L2 he was a stand out performer who was a big part of why they avoided relegation, so hopefully he can bring that form into L1, I doubt he would of gotten this chance if we had stayed in the Championship so I hope he takes it.

Interesting one to watch. At the moment he is gaining confidence and not a starter. If he is he may blossom. Yesterday he dropped his shoulder and I thought he had no chance of getting his foot round the ball to cross and was proved wrong. There, was an approving murmur in the Eastend to follow it. The kid may have real quality and lots of it which appears with the confidence of knowing he is part of the team.

Out of SODS fledlings krans, burns, reid, bryan.. Bryan is the best out of all of them, tidy, mature picks the right pass and when to run into space.. the only problem I have with bryan as a winger/FB his slight lack of pace.

I think he is quick, but not fast certainly not lacking in pace. Walsh or Sproule or Junior Bent !! Certainly worth a run in the team Bryan.

Im not saying Bryan is a bad player, I reckon he will shine this season BUT he is a safe sort of winger, He wont run at defence's for the 90 and show much flair. Which isn't a problem as long as you have somebody on the other wing who can do those things. We need options and we cant rely on JET all season, As I said, Adomah and Davies need to be replaced. Our team would look so much better if we had these 2 in it.

Have to say Bryan coming on made a fantastic difference in the set up, thought for a while that we could have a gem already in our camp.
If you watch him as a player his positioning is spot on always seems to antisipate where the ball will come and gives a good dimension to the team. Plus not afraid to tackle.

JET is great, but lets not forget 0-0 him and Baldock running at one defender and he chooses to go for greatness with a stupid 30 yard shot. Baldock on the other hand lays it off to Jet who scores from a decision that could of gone with Baldock shooting totally unselfish leading to a team goal.

If we continue to struggle for results (and the way it's going that's likely) it will only be a matter of time before JET gets fed up with being the stand out player weelk in week out

Must admit.....I think Baldock is going to be a gem in this league. A win or two to get the confidence flowing through the team and you watch him go. A good move by SOD to give him the captains role as well.
Still worried about our defence though...I realy though Flint might bring something special to the team.......early days yet though.

Flint will but like Baldock he will need 2 or 3 wins to get confidence, Playing next to fontaine wouldn't of helped, Especially the Coventry game but as they say, Dust ourselves off and go again on Saturday

Last time I checked, most of you were saying that Flint and Wynter were both great players...

JET is a great player, but we've also got a number of good players who will come good. Players take time to settle into a team, and after the overhaul we've had it's going to take some time. Some of you need to chill out.
