It would have to be Charlie Adam for me. He looks calm on the ball, can strike it and clever with it too!

I said as much before Walters took it Waddo. Adam has more brain cells in his foot, than Walters in total. If not Adam, maybe Pennant.

Huth. As long as he hits the target, doesn't matter if the keeper gets there, he'd end up in the net as well!

Huth or Adam for me, it's got to be a regular starter anyway, as long as it isn't Crouch or Bambi on ice as my Spurs mate calls him.

Not sure myself but Walters should not take any more. MOTD reckon he has missed his last 5 and he always hits them in the same place. No surprise then that Mignolet guessed correctly.

Adam for me or why not Huth, that volley was so unlucky not to hit the net yesterday. As for Begovic, I just said on another thread. He is by a long way better than Joe Hart which for me, say's he is the best in this League. I thought we might lose him before now Ric, let's hope no one else was watching MOTD last night.

He was just brilliant yesterday as for Mingolet? Apart from that save his save from Walters 1st half was fantastic. I'm not sure how much they paid for him but to us, Begovic is priceless. I would not sell him to another Prem club if I was MH but we'll see.

Yes, Bego was excellent, and that's after having conceded 4 playing for Bosnia in the week. As no-one had made any approaches for him during the close season I was confident he would be staying. After yesterday and with a week or so to go in this window, I really hope no-one comes in for himat the last minute. With him we will be OK this season, without him who knows?

Bego's only downfall for me is his unability to save a penalty and his positioning on free kicks. Apart from that he is top drawer!

    Waddo,

For me it would be Adam or Huth.

As regards Bego absolute top drawer yesterday and agree with you. Have never seen him save a penalty and his positioning for freekicks is very questionable.

Anyway I thought we were very positive yesterday and really should have stolen a point.

Ethrington did a decent job before Pulis decided that the only way he could justify Walters as a striker was bolster his stats with penalty kicks. Adam makes since and he did take them at Blackpool.

    Cris,
If I am well enough, I will be going to the West Ham game. <ok> I'm due to see the Doc this Wednesday. IF he say's I can sit on a coach for 2/3 hours twice in one day I will. We we're held up leaving Liverpool yesterday. Well over 2 hours! Great atmosphere in the ground though, just like old times. Until some idiot decided to let a smoke bomb off to my right. It almost chocked me, maybe that's what put Walters off! <doh>

Appendix removed? I understand that Hughes is in Spain watching Valencia Spanish U-20 international Paco Alcacar in action tonight against Malaga

Just seen this on Face book guys, and I know the guy who posted the above. Seem's Wilson's luck is out at the minute. Also interesting is this player. Paco Alcacar.

(EDIT) I just checked the score guys K.O. was 10.00p.m. last night.. Paco Alcacar didn't even make the bench? Valencia won by the odd goal. Don't know what's happening after doing the research. But Hughes has left the country so this maybe a rumour or, Valencia knew he was flying over. Reported that, Benfica are also interested in signing him.
