Not the most brilliant of games today. We played a bit better after going a couple of goals down but not good enough to beat a very ordinary Swiss team.

What do you think about the appointment of a passionless Italian to manage the English National team? Furthermore, what do you think of the old buffers from Soho Square that appointed him? They know sod all about football themselves and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd never paid to enter a football ground in their lives.

A bunch of dozy old suits who probably picked a name out of a hat and came upwith Crapello. If we were going to have a foreign manager surely the special one should have been considered, at least he speaks the lingo better than Crapello and his teams do play football.

It wasn't until we were 2-0 down that we stopped trying to play chess and started to play a bit of football. Of course the heart of Crapello's team ( Terry and Lampard ) are way too slow ( of mind and motion ) these days and it wasn't till Lampard went off that the midfield contributed anything to the game.

I don't know how long his contract is for and if he had any decency he'd resign, but as he probably won't we should just pay him off and get somebody that cares about England to run the National team. I know he won't be everybody's choice but Physco would be a better choice than Crapello, he has loads of heart and passion and would be a much better motivator than Crapello obviously is.

Picked a name out of a hat.....
To be fair before taking the England job any Club/Country would have taken Capello, the guys record is sensational. I just don't think anyone could make these passionless twats play well.

Say what you like, Crapello just doesn't seem to fire his team up or get any enthusiasm from them. Dull, boring football that you wouldn't pay to go and see every week.

But has any manager ever managed to fire them up? Even Pearce can barely get the youth players to turn out for him. Until players come through that actually care, then we have no chance. I think we'd actually be a better footballing country if the EPL was a poorer league, as the players would realise that if they want to be seen as great around the world they'd have to do it on the international stage

Obviously Capello is a pretty poor man manager and doesn't really have a clue.. I think he has said he will leave after the Euros?
But I honestly think the players are just to blame. Maybe it's because they aren't suited for the international game because the PL is different to other European leagues (hence why a lot of english players fail to make a mark in european teams) or maybe it's just because they lack motivation..
I think the english game needs to change before we can acheive in europe <ok>

I hear what you're saying and you've got a point but, if the EPL was a poorer league the players wouldn't have the platform to play on that would attract the same kind of crowds and the domestic game would suffer badly. If they can't play with pride when they pull the England shirt on they shouldn't be allowed to wear it.
