On Darren Bent:

"He has opted for Fulham and I think perhaps that is a safer option. Were the Sunderland links a factor? Possibly yes, and maybe the profile of this club as well. It is bigger than Fulham's, that's just a fact.”

First it was Everton, now it's Fulham. We're going to be hated by every ****er at this rate. Does he think this kind of bull**** is appeasing the fans? Because it only makes us loathe the classless, clueless **** more.

This is to say nothing of the fact that Bent surely would have come here had we actually agreed a deal for him. Has he been told to come out with this BS to try and take the heat off Joe? And do they honestly think anyone will believe it?

Is the profile of Newcastle United bigger than that of Fulham?

Probably.

I would suggest that Alan Shearer's comments about our French players are more controversial than this. <ok>

But why even say it? It's not relevant, since we know Bent never had a straight choice between us and Fulham. His choice was between Palace and Fulham.

It's purely speculative, but i'm guessing that Pardew is intimating that 'Newcastle United is a bigger club than Fulham or QPR'. I mention the hoops because Remy chose them over us in January.

I think Pards is basically saying that the players we're being linked with are going elsewhere for better wages.

Well Remy I could understand him commenting on, since we actually had an agreement in place and it is obvious he went for wages. But as far as the Bent deal goes, we didn't even agree a fee with the club, so it was always a non-starter. Who knows what he would have done if he actually had a choice to make.

I don't know what the deal is with loan-fees.

Bent does still have a property in the North-East, but he's London through & through, so it doesn't surprise me he's gone back there.

I defend him a fair bit but this was a bit of dickish comment for me. The sort you know is going rankle a bit, whether true or not. Good team talk for Fulham when they come to St James.

Hi Guys, Fulham fan here. I don't think it will affect our opinion of your club, which is pretty much neutral to positive.

It won't even affect our opinion of Pardew... we already knew he was a dull, mouthy ****. You have my commiserations having to listen to the gruesome twosome. Pairing him with Joke in ear is woeful.

good win for you today, at least you got the away win off your back early <ok>

Possibly it has more to do with Ruiz?

It is much easier to intimate that players only turn you down for more money elsewhere than it is to admit that rocking up with a deal one minute before a player signs for someone else is not a good recruitment strategy.

The Remy situation is different in that it was QPR who hijacked the deal with a pile of money, rather than the other way around.

he is a big mouth but not particularly dull, his philosophy on football is absolute dogmuck unworthy of professional football. But he has a little wit here and there.

People getting a bit carried away. Not the most respectful comments but Pardew is an all time great, lets not forget that <whistle>

He's a cock I hate his voice and his face

The words blueprint, scenario and agenda are words I hate now because of this man.

Fulham and Newcastle are on a par now.
Bent coming to Newcastle would have been a mistake, like Steve Bruce going to Sunderland, some fan's would never accepted him.

He's a ****ing bell end, an embarrassment to your club. Don't dislike him because I'm a Sunderland fan as I had a lot of time for Houghton, Sir Bobby, even Jim Smith, i just can't get away with him, a bad start for you lot and I think he'll be sacked
