It appears that Tottenham and QPR have finally come to an agreement over transfer Tottenham have reportedly agreed terms with QPR for the transfer of their England international midfielder Scott Parker, according to reports in the BBC. With terms already being agreed upon, it is now Parkerâs prerogative whether or not he is ready to take a dip in terms of quality of football and help QPRâs quest to return to the Premier League. In excerpts of an interview carried in the BBC, Redknapp said, âThere was an agreement with us and Tottenham but he can go where he wants. We have made a good offer to Scott.â Parker joined Spurs in 2011 from West Ham and spent the first half of his stay at North London, playing under Harry Redknapp. Parker made 28 appearances for Spurs last season, under the tutelage of Andre Villas-Boas. Conceding that the biggest downside of Parkerâs move will be that he has to play in the Championship, Redknapp said, âI wouldnât say it was easy, but we feel we are a club that are looking to get back up if we can this year.â He however went on to make his case about why Parker should nevertheless arrive at Loftus Road, âSometimes you can have more enjoyment playing for a team who are looking to go somewhere than at a team who are maybe hanging on in the Premier League with no real chance of winning anything or getting in the top six and maybe being in a battle all year to stay in the division.â
This is the third season on the trot that we've tried to sign him. Is there a positive correlation between Parker ageing and the Rs dropping divisions?
We'll get him in another two years when his legs have completely gone and he'll accept £50K a week...
No, we will get him now when his legs have already gone and he will accept 70k a week. Please someone else come in and buy him.
Flyer you naughty Southampton sausage ... Ponder my friend ... It's not bad having Parker linked to us Think about it hard and come up with a player you would want to buy that can deliver a potential promotion I am just across the water in Swanage this weekend pop over for a crumpet
I've been to swanage a few times before, its a nice place but a bit far to just pop over! No one player can deliver promotion, a team will do that. Parker will be the next park.
Maybe maybe not but its shows the footballing world we are QPR and we will meet our ambitions Being linked to these players is good But I know also that other teams will try extra hard to best us We have a tough season ahead Parker can handle that Flyer IMO I agree we need real strength and depth look at this week we feel shirt but can bring in O Neil and SWP We need two teams of Parker's Off to put fish and chips into belly
Exactly Fly! Looked like his legs had gone 2years ago now. He will probably be another Park type signing.
This is just recycled from Harry's presser yesterday so just another slap dash piece of journo ****. Also some on this board were lauding him for being clever in what he was saying i.e. join Fulham and play for a mid table/relegation dog fight or join QPR and enjoy a spirited promotion push.
Nigel Pearson has just confirmed Paul Konchesky is about to leave us and sign for someone else and with him being linked with you lot he could be on his way to you
