I have now got the Liverpool v Stoke game showing, so the signs are indeed promising.

Good to see Redmond starting, will be my first chance to see him

It actually looks quite attacking with EB, NR & JH gracing the pitch at the same time <ok>

    Hmmm...

Not a lot of height in that midfield, which could be a concern against the likes of Fellaini. Snodgrass missing is a big surprise, and no Hooper on the bench either. I'm hoping Howson isn't restricted into a DM role, although I fear that's inevitable.

Bench: Bunn (GK), R Bennett, Olsson, Butterfield, Fox, Tettey, Becchio

As Everton are not really known for hoofball, hopefully the ball will be on the ground a lot more, we will perhaps cope better by adopting that strategy.

Missing 2 big players for us, Bassong and Snodgrass. Feeling a bit more nervous now, but hopefully we will do all right.

Just hope it's not a repeat of last season lol.

I hope so, particularly with the Martinez influence.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Coleman, Barkley, Osman, Fellaini, Mirallas, Jelavic, Pienaar.
Bench: Robles, Heitinga, Kone, Deulofeu, Naismith, Stones, Anichebe

hmmm on paper maybe doesn't look the strongest side. Anyone heard anything about Snoddy??? On the plus side may force us to play it on the deck and there should be more movement and pace then much of last season.

I'm hoping the pace of Redmond, and with Wolfswinkel not a slouch, the Everton defence will be forced deeper, giving Hoolahan more space between the lines to work in. Fingers crossed!

Well I'm praying for some kind of 4-1-4-1 formation but fear howson will be alongside Bradley in a defensive role
