So, the future of England is Wilshere and Walnut, is it?

    God help us all!

The sooner we get Dawson, Lennon and THudd back fit the better. Put some back-bone back into England's play<ok>

Hey! I tell you what! Let's play a new game. Instead of posting childish insults, why not respond to the discussion point raised?

The name of this new game?

    It's called "debate."

Defoe is going to be playing for you next season, so I don't think we can really call him a Spurs player.

As for Crouch, with the number of uselessly high crosses that were pumped into Bent, I suggest to you that Crouch would have been a far better bet up front.

Dawson is only a quite good player, not in Ferdinand or Terry's league. Huddlestone is quite good too but I don't think he is better than any of the midfielders who played for us today. Lennon is like Walcott, on his day he is good but far too erratic. AS for needing more spurs players, I don't remember them helping us at the world cup

The thing with Lennon is that he, at the very least, tries to beat his man. Walnut does nothing.

I can quite understand that, being your player, you are going to defend him, but when he turns in one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a player in an England shirt, I have the right to make my feelings known.

D'Jeezus - yes, this is a topic for debate. You could try to argue that Walnut was not useless tonight, that he put in a solid performance and that he just had a bit of bad luck. Instead, however, you choose to completely ignore the subject and make stupid and pathetic personal insults. Perhaps that's because you agree with me, that tonight Walnut's performance was an utter disgrace? If that's the case, have the courage to say it. You'd garner more respect that way.

i think it's the manner in which you bring up the topic that puts people off responding sensibly and objectively

And, for the record - and to prove I am not a WUM - I actually think that MOTM should have gone to Wilshere. It wasn't a classic performance from him, but he put in a lot of effort and was instrumental in England's first goal, by winning the penalty.

I'm saying that Walnut's performance was complete and utter pants tonight, and probably one of the worst played by someone in an England shirt.

I'm not asking you to agree with me, but so far I have yet to hear anyone argue any sensible opposing view.

I think Wilshire was just alright, yes he won the ball a few times and produced a great pass for Bent but he still squandered some good opportunities. Barnetta was man of the match in my opinion.

We all said it wasn't very good, but what makes you think Lennon would have done any better?

Okay for debates sake, if you think Dawson, Lemon and Huddlestone are the future of England then you are a truly deluded Spud.
Wilshere is the future of the England team, and the present.
Your original post which states that we should pray to god for help if Wilshere is the future of the national team is idiotic. Jack and Ashley Young were all what was good about England today.

Walcott may not have the best of games, but if the ref and his assistant had the balls, his run past the Swiss defence would have seen a game changing red.
Your article was met with the contempt it deserved.
I rarely see Lemon do anything of note in an England shirt, and he is as equally as frustrating as Walcott.

I've already explained that one. When playing for England, Lennon (as when he plays for Spurs) always looks to beat his man. Walnut never does. This is the umpteenth time I've seen Walnut play for England and it's always the same: he gets the ball, runs along the line until either he runs out of pitch or he has the ball taken off him. He's an utter disgrace!

Lennon is much, much better than that.

Lennon is much better than this?

Why does he rarely ever show it for England? He has had enough chances.

Usually for England Lennon runs as fast as he can towards the byline and smashes the ball through the box, usually missing everyone. Not exactly effective. The reason he is behind Walcott in the pecking order is that Theo is more of a goal threat.
