    It was poor as a unit, but there were plenty of good players in there to.

    Thinks the sun shines out of his arse!!

    He was buzzing to have another year on the bench, didnt even mention he was going to try and push himself into the first team... says alot about the guy...Think he secertly wanted to be a jockey!

    That's the thing. Where is his motivation to play every game and score goals?

    He's happy to play 10-15 games, score a couple, and milk the trophies off United.

    They won't hold many memories when he looks at his haul in a few years time.

    Still doesn't have a champs league medal!

    True he left us after we were relegated and so missed out on a Championship medal when we came straight back up.

    Scored his last goal in the relegation season on 10th January despite not being injured. The following players scored and most of them played less games

    I remember being shocked at the time when Owen left Liverpool, he could have spent his whole career there. That said he went abroad and it didn't work out for him, but rather than turn himself around and make his mark at Newcastle his heart was never in it and it showed. Why someone who couldn't motivate himself never mind a team was made captain was beyond me. He never lifted his head, he never communicated verbally, I trudged out the ground after watching some of his performances and felt dismayed and angry. I was glad to see the back of him and I hope he never wears an England shirt again, he is not worthy of it. It may seem harsh not wanting him in the national side because of his time with us, but an admission of being happy to be sitting on the bench at Man Utd playing occasionally speaks volumes.
