You weren't by any chance at the Best of the Fest show on Saturday? There was a one lad from Sunderland got picked on out of an audience of 800.
As he does not do punch lines it was really a longer story about the horse , but he ended with that was a better punch line than any of my.
This was three years ago at Newcastle Central station. Selective memories some of you lads. Police were prepared for possible trouble on Saturday as Sunderland fans travelled from the North East to play Hearts in Edinburgh. An operation was launched to make sure the travelling supporters were ushered safely from Newcastle Central Station and on to a Metro to keep them out of the city centre. But gang of 40 arrived at the station, at around 8pm, intent on causing violence following their teamâs draw. Four police dogs, called, Clio, Floyd, Earl and Diesel were left injured after they were kicked and stamped on while on the floor. Chief Supt Smith continued: âAn investigation is under way to trace these people and have them brought to task for their actions. âThere is no room for people such as this amongst the law-abiding football fans who go week in and week out to support their team. Therefore weâll also be progressing football banning orders against these violent individuals to ensure they donât spoil future games for the true supporters. âWe are well aware that the majority of football fans do not behave in this way. Law-abiding fans can rest assured weâre doing all we can to track down these particular individuals as soon as possible.â But then again Sunderland fans are angels aren't they? Lets face it, both clubs have an unwanted element.
Nee need to open that can of worms hat. The safc stance on this and i know people who were involved, they were trying to get the dogs off them, innocent parties. A very in depth court case. Nowt more to be said on it mate
Yeah mate, I saw it on the telly. The Sunderland fans looked like angels. Leave it at that if you like, I can't be arsed to argue. We accept we have some arsehole following our team, do you agree you do?
No, I mean, away fans ushered through tight spaces in close proximity to police dogs being escorted out of someone elses town can not be compared to home fans kicking off in their own open streets, breaking from crowds to confront police horses. Both deplorable actions from the individuals involved in breaking the law but the situations are completely different. One is crowd unrest and the other surmounts to rioting. I'm sorry mate if we're drawing up mindless unrelated comparisons there's 4 newcastle pitch invasions that I can think of.
There has been a couple of occasions at sol where your "fans" have encroached on the pitch and attacked Newcastle fans, and on one occasion, our keeper. In no way I'm condoning the action of our fans, but some of you lot seem blinkered. (No horse pun intended)
I agree with Bri, Sombrero. We know it's a minority of mags, just like every other club, although the last derby riot had quite a large "minority" giving it large. But they do seem to resurface with monotonous regularity, unlike most other clubs, including SAFC. Pitch invasions, petrol bombs, riots in the toon, horse-punching? At least we have been involved in a "friendly final", even though we were crap and lost.
I was at that one with my young son , we were being escorted away when a police dog came up and bit my son for nowt, i floored it, a mate captured the whole incident on his mobile, at court the case was dropped when evidence revealed, and i was given an earner of the judge, the police were arsoles, who here would stand by and see their son bit by any dog without retaliation to said animal, if it was joe publics it would have been put down
When was the four? Recently? Sid ~ I know your are compelled to agree with one of your own, but as I said, there have been occasions when your fans have gone on the pitch, you sent several flares into our section at the last game at our place, your fans fought with West Ham fans in your town centre, and you've attacked dogs. As I said previously, we have our own tossers following our team, but you have none????
Ours were attacked by dogs, your's attacked a horse, there is a difference mate. Like it or not, the guy looked like a right tool and it was broadcast to the nation. We both have morons masquerading as supporters but **** me, offering a horse out to have a fight takes some beating.
We have 'em. You do have a worse record, though. Milwall have 'em to. You saying we're the same as them?
