    Hearing a lot of talk on Twitter we are in for Fernandes from Besiktas for £3m.

    A very good player but is he what we need with our midfield seemingly already sorted. We still seem to be neglecting the positions we need bodies in for quickly.

    Still think he would be a cracking signing if we were to pull it off, especially for that sort of money. I will be taking it with a huge pinch of salt however.

    Bear in mind it was Twitter which delivered the Heskami story to the world...

    I thought he was on a free but Sir Bobby correctly pointed out it has a year to run. 3m is a fair price but he has never really filled his potential. Depends if his form in Turkey is down to an easier league or whether he has just matured. Never lit things up at Everton or Pompey, but he was young. Struggled in Spain with Valencia. Done really well for Beskitas though. Cabaye's replacement I expect. If Cabaye is going (which I've thought all along he would be) I'd prefer it was right now.

    At the end of the day majority of clubs are going to see us as an easy 3 points when we visit them. Ashley wont spend the money and Joe doesn`t know how to.
