Like Hull City AFC is morphing into Hull City Tigers and our history remains relevant?

A waste of time and childish. Some people need to remember where we are now and where we could be,

Hull City is still around and used by the PL and national media despite what some would have you believe.

Until Dr Allam drops the 'City' element, which he has already indicated he wants to. So you're happy with Hull Tigers?

They changed their name after 24 years and have been Manchester United for 111 years. Hull City have had the same name for 109 years.

What is your point? Why break such a long tradition on a whim or because of stupidity?

Exactly, history and relevance is lost on some.

To be honest the more who go to City's games the better. I don't care who they support.

    Wow.

I'm actually at a loss for words.

    Wait. No I'm not.

You're comparing a campaign to remove their owners with one to partially change our name, and then suggesting we adopt a totally different colour in shirts and scarves to achieve this?

Oh, I am again at a loss for words.

It's not that difficult to understand? The shirt colour White is part of our history, as is the name Hull City AFC.

Some people feel strongly about it, I assume you're happy to have whatever name our owners deem appropriate? Your user name seems quite apt.

I hate the idea of any name chnage, but this is equally as worse.

CI & Amber Nectar have gone about things the right way by continually writing to the club. If they weren't so pigheaded we might have some feedback.

We just need the club to recognise the fans and either put a stop to it altogether, or show us how they're going to market themselves in Asia.

The one thing that'll put a stop to it straight away is relegation.

Are you only capable of making moronic comments? I've not seen one word of sense from you in all your 97 posts.

remind me how long it lasted and remind me what good it did.
football fans are a fickle lot.
it is success ON the pitch that we fans are really bothered with.
if the name change was suggested during a season, I am not sure that many of us would have noticed.

I don't think anything will stop it. Allam is as stubborn as a mule, he'll do as he wants. I'm very surprised at the apathy on here to be honest.

I am not criticing the Allams, they saved the club which would otherwise have been defunct, for which I'm entirely thankful for. They are however only custodians of the club.

Other teams have broken foreign Markets by being successful, and having history, it doesn't require violating 109 years of history due to some ridiculous notion that we'll break Asia.

You don't see other teams changing names to break markets in other countries. Let's have the Red Devils of Manchester, the North London Gunners, The Liver Birds.

    It's just ridiculous.

I agree with some points there, particularly about the apathy, but remember Duffen was well liked by the fans after we won at Wembley. Things can change.

More shocking interviews like Monday's and it'll come about pretty swiftly.
