It was mentioned on London Call-In tonight that saturday mark's Clint Hill's 100th league appearance for QPR. Time really does fly, and he has played alot of games for us in three seasons if that is true.
Not meaning to be contrary, but I don't rate him. That's not to say that he's not a solid player; nor I am I doubting his effort. But I think he's ok, but no better than that. .... lights the blue touch paper and tiptoes away....
He performed above his level in the PL but, on occasions, was shown to be out of his depth. A good, honest pro but no more than a squad player this season. Remember, he's not getting any younger...
Good job we have that spring chicken Dunne to backfill..... Seriously, Clint is clearly a good bloke who gives his all, but his distribution skills are non existent and that is just not good enough for a modern CB.
Well, played better than Samba who was valued ten times higher than Clint. More than adequate ability to play in Championship. We are a fickle bunch. Last seasons best player and role model for any modern day footballer.
How on earth is clint hill a role model for the modern day footballer. Are you basing this on his inability to pass, his pace, his shooting , his first touch or the fact his right foot is redundant.
Bloody hell mate.........Suarez skins top class centre backs too!! Clint is a great pro who is fantastic in the air and gives his all every single game. Not quite up to it in the Prem but plenty good enough for another season in the Championship. I'd take him over any of the over-paid kack that have worn the shirt over the last couple of years!
Col, that giant who scored for Wednesday strolled past Traore (no surprise) , Faurlin and Clint who had about 5 minutes to prepare and position himself. This was a championship at very best striker. At that point I started longing for Dunne. In the Prem Hill was always playing above his level and we had to give him some leeway in return for his courage and commitment. At this level I don't think that's enough. Back up CB.
