Thanks for putting up a GIF and a video -DTLW, but I want to see one where we start with the corner, watch the goal, and have all the running away and being mobbed by his teammates as well, until the game restarts. That, I would watch again and again.
His equaliser vs Pompey in the ill-fated cup game, his goal vs Man City, his goal vs Man U, his goal vs Chelsea, Debut winner against the scots. He likes the big occasions.
For me, the best part was the genuine joy from the rest of the England players at his goal. If a man ever deserved this, it is Lambert!
A football moment which will stay with us all for ever I suspect. And what a great interview he gave post match- top geezer.
If Gary Neville has any sort of influence in team selection, I think Lambert may have a chance of another call-up. He understands what Lambo can offer, and seems to recognise the importance of having someone like Lambo who will quite literally sacrifice himself to score a goal.
I've not been that fussed over England since euro 96 but am now tempted by an England no 20 Lambert shirt, will not forget that goal in hurry, yet another piece of saints folk lore written tonight.

My tame Pompey fan has complained that I haven't stopped talking about Rickie since he was called up...well, Ian, gird your loins for tomorrow...you ain't heard nothing yet!!
