I notice that I'm the only one who ever posts any threads of this nature so I was wondering if, rather than clutter up the Horse Racing stuff I do one of the following: (a) start a Non Horse Racing Horsey Stuff Group that would only be seen by its members (if any) (b) create a separate single thread for Non Horse Racing Horsey Stuff (a la The "Discuss Everything EXCEPT Horseracing Thread" set up by Oddy) (c) find a more suitable forum for such topics and put a link in the Horse Racing Index
if you look at the 'general' area on this site--you can see how it has become skewed and exclusive to a few 'voices'-- not very good imo-- option b seems ok-- although it means trawling through said thread, and it can cover too many topics..... can you have a sub section in here ?
That's something I've been after for a while rudebwoy and I have asked again but I don't think it's an option, unfortunately. Would certainly help structure-wise.
I think setting up a separate thread for Non-racing Equestrian stuff would be great. I sometimes go on the Horse and Hound forum, but it is populated with too many passive aggressive women with chubby cobs Hope the foals are getting on well Ron? Had a wee look at the video of Romeo and he's going to be a lovely young horse. The dam moves very well. I've been back on board myself this week and I'm taking my palomino to a hunter trial on Monday. Very excited
Sorry, just asked how you were on another thread. Glad to hear you're progressing well. Good luck on Monday. please log in to view this image
Thank Ron, Flynn was really good, he jumped clear round the Cross Country and did one clear round of show jumping. Really chuffed with him. We are entered for a BE Novice this weekend which will be a big ask. He's still rather nervous about going into water, he usually slows right down and then leaps in theatrically. Here's hoping I don't take an early bath!! How are the foals and youngsters??
Well done Darremi. I was just about to ask. Been listening to the football. Cracking match but well and truly pissed off as Leicester just scored the winner in injury time.
We did it!! Officially completed our first British Event of the season last weekend. Flynn was really good, we finished in 10th place. Here's a picture of us flying though the water jump!! http://johngracing.thirdlight.com/viewpicture.tlx?containerid=18492137961&pictureid=18492184202 How are the wee foalies getting on??
Excellent. Well done Darremi. Great picture. The foals are getting big. Romeo has had a couple of trips to the vets with his mum (she went for insemination). So he has had some experience of loading and unloading from a box. They went in our friends' new box which is a nice size for a mare and foal. Romeo amazed our friends and the vets the other day as he just calmly leaped onto the box, clearing the ramp completely. Went to Normandy Regional Finals at the Normandy Horse Show the other day to see our friends' foals and one of them won his age group and then beat the older age group winner to be champion colt foal. Unfortunately their best foal didn't show himself off and was placed 6th. The French National Finals are being held there this week so we will be going to see what all the best foals in France look like. I think the Internationals start today and on the final day, Sunday, it's the Grand Prix. To celebrate the foal winning they had a party in the indoor stables. Long table down the aisle and a bar at the end. Horses sticking their heads out and giving kisses to passers by. There were people from France, Italy, England, and Ireland, including a pâtissier. Fantastic spread that lasted all night. Needles to say we were a bit pissed when we got home at 3am this morning please log in to view this image .
Please ignore: Just a temporary link for my benefit until I get things organised Index of the 3 foals
