Well that's far from being our strongest line-up, so I'll be expecting a decent amount of change at half time. Ox not starting is surprising, and clearly Hodgson has opted not to listen to me about Walker.
Well, the plus side is that Rooney is unlikely to play much more than the first 45 minutes, so we could see Lambert on for the start of the second half. Or it could be an unfit Defoe of course, which is probably more likely
If he doesn't get off the bench I will smash Roy Hodgson's face in (although no one would notice, the sunken chinned twat)
The stupidity of football where it pertains to the England international side should never be underestimated.
The ideal scenario......The Sweaty back four all get booked in the first 10 minutes causing Rooney and Welbeck to go off injured. Their defenders will then be too scared to go in hard for fear of a second yellow, leaving Rickie to coast through the rest of the game and show the whole range of his skills.
Lallana was just a token gesture, he was called up on the morning of the game. lambo has been there for 3 days.
I reckon he'll get 20-25 minutes, Roy said that "He will know a bit more about Rickie after Weds evening".
I think Hodgson might think the front 6 are his strongest - I think it's the same 6 that played ok against Brazil back in Feb at Wembley and first chance he has had to put them together since.
I'd love for Ireland to open up a comfortable 7-goal lead with Welbeck missing a penalty or two, only for Roy to throw on Lambert with half an hour to go who would theno then proceed to score a blistering double hat-trick and for Roy to get the sack tomorrow morning for not starting Sir Rickie of Lambert.
