just looked at the football italia website! apparently he needs a minor operation which will sideline him for 2 months! can understand why we pulled the plug. obviously catania are willing to take the risk!
Yep unfortunately we need players now. We might have been able to wait for him if we already had a decent rightback on our books.

2 months out as previously said, probably take him another month to get upto match fitness then you could easily say it would take him the rest of the season just to adapt the the PL so theres a full season wasted really. I really think the club has been great on this issue, stood firm and not panicked even though we were short in this area. We may be short in the short term but long term we will be able to scout a fully fit player.
Yeah I can;t see it biting us - we found an injury which they obviously haven't - we tried to get them to drop the price and they refused - and then sold him for less than we offered to someone else - he will lose out overall as the PL is watched worldwide - I don't think I've ever watched Catania play!
