Don't know how up to date this info is but probably fair to say that money closed this one off ......... again. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/661744343?-294:802 If I was Harry, I'd be resisting any desire to play him ...............Until he apologises for his selfish attitude, let him rot and then some. Take the same stance as Rodgers from Liverpool. If all managers did likewise, the clubs and the fans would not be screwed over / held to ransom, as much as we are nowadays. Fiorentina Opt Not To Sign QPR Goalkeeper SHARE THIS Add to Delicious Share on FriendFeed Digg submit to reddit TAGS FiorentinaJulio Cesar Julio Cesar - QPRFiorentina have decided not to sign Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar. The Viola have been linked with the Brazilian following his club’s relegation from the top tier of English football, but sporting director Daniele Prade has ruled out a move for his services. “We won’t be able to sign Julio Cesar because it’s not a feasible transfer for us to complete,” he stated to Viola Channel. “But we’re satisfied with the two goalkeepers we currently have and while I feel that we have a strong squad [already], the players need to work hard and do what’s expected of them.” Many had anticipated that Fiorentina would bring in a new goalkeeper following their decision not to sign Emiliano Viviano following his year long loan spell from Palermo, but they have decided to stick with their current personnel for the time being. The 33-year-old Brazilian international has been linked to other Serie A sides, including AC Milan following his team’s relegation to the Championship, but so far, nothing has materialized in terms of a move back to Italy. He previously spent seven seasons at Inter where he won numerous trophies, including five league titles and one Champions League before signing with QPR in the summer of 2012.
Greedy Barsteward. This is 100% proof that he is only interested in the money - it's a World Cup year FFS. Let him rot with with the Youth team.
He'll go in the next week or two - unless Green breaks a leg. He'll hang on as long as he can before making a deal, but a deal will be done.
Absolutely. Waiting until he has to commit. A no lose situation. He pockets the salary until someone matches or comes close to meeting his expectations. Less pressure on a keeper. Only has to familiarise himself with a back four. Can be achieved with relatively little risk.
Absolute ponce of a goalkeeper. He'll go eventually but it's crazy on his part to risk still being here in a world cup year.
I would play him how daft has football got ... Arsenal's transfer policy I really admire and all this is just hard ball Eamon is right it's just a matter of time He is training and being very respectful IMO ... Harold has said as much . This player could play for any club in the world and has a proven track record ... Difference? Put green in an international Sod the money we had it to sign him I would loan him and use him if we go up
Yeh well, I rest my case ............... thinking all about himself as usual ........... http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/julio-cesar-upbeat-over-move-8759803.html To think I really thought guy was good for our club. Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar says he remains hopeful of securing a move away from the club before the end of the month. The Brazil international has been linked with Arsenal and a host of Italian clubs as QPR look to get him off the wage bill. A move to Fiorentina fell through due to financial reasons but Cesar is still confident he will depart the Loftus Road outfit soon. "I am still a Queens Park Rangers player. A lot can happen before the end of August," Cesar told Globo Esporte. "At the moment my focus is on the national team and I am looking forward to seeing my team-mates again."
According to Scolari, it is important for Brazilâs best players to eschew big-money deals to clubs where they may not play regularly, in order to boost the host nationâs chances of fielding a powerful squad in the global football showpiece in 2014. "A player who wants to play for Brazil has to think about the national team and not just think about the monetary side," Scolari said. "The spirit we showed at the Confederations Cup was absolutely spectacular. "But now it's over and we're on a new path. The athletes have to remember that a lot can happen - players not getting regular games, transfers, players, dropping out of favour at their clubs. "The players know that nobody has made sure of their place. We played well (at the Confederations Cup), but they have to play at their clubs so they can be picked. Some players have credit in the bank, but credit can dry up and that is how it has to be." QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar is one player in particular that Scolari has directed his warning to. Cesar is currently agitating to move away from the relegated English championship side, who he joined on a bumper salary last season. He has been linked to Arsenal and almost moved to Fiorentina, and Scolari hopes he sorts his playing future out sooner rather than later, in the best interests of Brazil. "I'm worried and he knows that," he said of the former Inter Milan shot stopper. "If possible, he needs to try and play, it doesn't matter if it's in the second division, third division or tenth division. I want to be able to see how they are playing and if they are in the right state."
I've always thought that keepers don't necessarily need to be playing at the highest level to show their best form. He had a great opportunity to show how good he was last year behind a poor defence.
Say again i hope he stays as he will go to Brazil anyway... said that a while ago. Get him playing again as bu all accounts he has been professional and trained well. If he stays even until Jan get him playing ... sating that Green is moving the ball quicker but he doesn't see teh danger to me ... Cesar would of seen the danger on Saturday for the cross plus would have got to their last chance.
Point taken on that match ... Christ that 1st goal was awful. I think he was better than Green for sensing danger
He punches & flaps to often, Bit of a fairy. Not to mention he's also a Greedy **** Neither of our "international" keeper seem to be able to get to the low stuff if it's not straight at them, both better than Kenny but both are slowing down. Al'Habsi is around 31/32 but looks a million times better than our pair, Got to be worth a chance if we ever shift the cash strapped Brazillian.
