So I've been told. Was up the bush visiting friends and was informed Parker had his medical on tuesday afternoon. My mates daughter Works in the club shop and said everyone knew!
The bookies are not fools when it comes to players moving, so I think I'll wait for the offish before believing....
QUOTE QPR manager Harry Redknapp seems to be very happy with the imminent signing of Scott Parker, as he told the press, ‘We’re hopeful of getting Scotty signed soon. He’s a great lad and will be a really good signing for us.’ UNQUOTE That's it then. He's gone to Fulham
Oh ye of little faith and great cynicism!! Welcome Scott Parker! If you apply yourself in our midfield as you've done for other clubs, you will very soon become an Rss favourite. COYRssss!!!!
Hi Eddie, Seems like you are definitely ITK - really hope this deal is for the right reasons, to help us get promoted, and not like the other crowd for a final payday. IMHO he would make a great club captain in the heart of the midfield. I always thought of him as the quintissential English footballer. BTW I finished reading your book in just 2 days on holidays, and really enjoyed it (PM'd you re: book impressions). Really looking forward to reading your next one.
press are saying he has passed medicial with rangers and should complete deal tomorrow, so that's that parker is a rangers player, but the bookies are not convinced yet, you can still get 10/11 on him going to the bush, surely that will change tonight, I say fill your boots as ffc have only offered him some second hand hampers as part of his wages
The benefit of coming to us is that he will play regularly. If he goes to Foolham he will be playing every now and again. Plus he may well have a clause saying he can go if we are not promoted this season.
you don't spell foolham like that, you spell like this FULHAM, dont they teech you how too spel at skool
I've just taken 10/11 with Skybet on Parker joining.. using the ton I won on England at 6/4 to beat the convicts at the end of day 1 in the last test.. that comes off and my season ticket will be nearly paid for..
good luck, that seems like buying money, u was tempted to do the same, but going to see if I can bump into mr parker tonight before I lump on, hope you win
QPR and Fulham are both 10/11 joint favourites to sign Parker. Just picked this up on the BBC gossip column: Daily Telegraph's John Percy: Fulham have moved to hijack QPR bid for Scott Parker. Hearing they have also had an offer accepted by Tottenham. I think he'll do a cracking job for whoever he signs for. He would be a definite starter at Fulham.
Perhaps there should be a rule that one team cannot gazump another team when an agreement for a player has been reached. It would be more boring and less lines for the journos to write but a much more sensible way of doing business IMO.
