For £13m with no sell on, we could do a lot lot better. Its an awful signing, it will be SWP bad.

Well I'll just hope you are proved wrong. Also £13m is a figure plucked out of thin air as we don't (nor will we) know what the actual deal is worth in terms of wages etc. Might not even happen yet so Henry may have to be our man (gulp).

    YOU ARE KIDDING ME.
HE WOULD BE A FANTASTIC SIGNING.
'ARRY KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING IMO. SOMETIMES WHEN I READ THE INCREDIBLY IDIOTIC COMMENTS ON THIS FORUM I FEEL THAT ONLY COMPLETE NUMPTIES CONTRIBUTE. <yikes> EACH TO THEIR OWN, SUPPOSE.....................

for me he's atruely class player. I dont think we NEED him but he would be an incredible signing

remeber the way Derry & Ali ran the midfield in our promotion year? Now think Parker & Ali....10 X better.

Reason i dont know if we need him or not is because we dont have the player to score goals...therefore it dont really nmatter if he bosses the league.

In our last game we had 17 chances on goal...and scored 1 ! That really is sh**e..even for a sunday team.

Would welcome him if he came, but we should be looking at other areas first i think...<ok>

I cannot believe people are moaning about this, fantastic player, he is way above anyone we have had for years.

I really can't quite believe some of the comments on this thread!! Christ on a bike, Parker would be the best midfielder in our league, let alone in our club!!
He looked pretty good to me during the last part of last season and his commitment alone would be a massive plus in the Championship. He also happens to be a good footballer as well. Bloody hell......what are some of you thinking!!?

I completely agree with you Finglas.

Will we ever learn? We cannot become the departure lounge for footballers readying themselves for retirement.

Parker not the problem for the infected

Our fan base will always be looking for the next target currently BZ

It's the rangers way but not from me during the season we stand no chance if we don't stand together at the end if the day ... Too many infected when we only need a healthily outlook to build on

Parker was a good footballer prior to him coming to us we can only hope he enhances our team and helps us win games

Great news, Fulham are in for him too, as well as wanting granero on loan.
I'd tell them to do one on the loan and theyd have to buy him to get him.

Christ on a bike. I get a few hours kip in after a night shift and then wake up and have to read through all this. How old is he? As someone mentioned earlier he is phwerty froo. Well to me that is no age.
If you said that we would get Scot Parker after all the shenanigans that had gone on before at our club, I'd have to question your insanity.
Parker will be an important part of our spine. With him sat in front of the back four, we have a real quality and experienced player that will control the game. He will be pivotal to our success. Through the middle we now have Green, Onouha/Dunne/Hill, Parker/Barton/Faurlin, Johnson/Austin. That is one hell of a spine for a Premiership side, let alone a Championship one. Add in the peripheral players ( Simpson, Suk, Hoilett and SWP ) and we have a squad to die for.
We now have leaders all over the training ground, on the pitch and in the dressing room.

I wished we had him last season.

    Thanks R4E.

Hopefully the whole discussion will be irrelevant and he goes and signs for Fulham. Harry did say we were close, right? Just like Hooper?

I tend to agree IF he is fit and free of injury and for 2 million, TF will feel comfortable with that.

Harrys playing for now, one quick jump to get back to the PL for which he'll probably retire halfway through and handover to McLaren, whilst Harry walks away as the shining knight who took us back up to the promise land.

Everything is just about in place, he needs another striker but apart from that, the foundation is just about set.
If things go pear shape halfway thru this season, McLaren comes in a year early, that's all.

Have to agree with this, obviously not a long term solution but a hell of player & leader for the Championship & our one priority has got to be promotion.

Only concern would be fee/wages but as long as these are catered for by further departures which may include some or all of: Granero, Diakite, Mbia, Jenas, Barton
