I know it is looking more and more likely Mark Hughes will be heading for Aston Villa but how would Chelsea fans react if he became your manager?

I personally think he is good enough to do a job at the highest level anywhere.

I think he will be but lacks a little experience at the top i.e. European but a nice guy and a great player. <ok>

Great guy and player, but not a manager for us.

Liverpool...Fa cup...at the bridge...2-0 down at half time...

    I'll never forget that goal.

Not for us as a manager though, not yet at least...

He had a great time when he played for us and he is a Chelsea fan so you never know.
I really like him but I'm not quite sure although I wouldn't be unhappy if he did come. It'd be interesting.

Although to be fair for all we know Zola may be a great manager.
After all it's unfair to judge him on the work he did with that pile of **** at The Mad Hammers Tea Party.

    <ok>

    Tough one isn't it!

I think I'd go for Zola, purely on the basis that I would love to see him at Chelsea again and do well.

The quandry is if he got canned, whereas I wouldn't feel so bad about hughes stuffing it up and getting the boot!

to be fair he treated fulham badly on walking out on them like he did... he said that 'his decision hadn't been influenced by an outside party'.. what a load of bull that is.. wouldn't be keen on him at Stamford Bridge

    chelseaboi<ok>

Just been talking to one of the lads here...away from the fun Franco/ Hughes hypothetical debate, I wouldn't want him purely on the basis that he totally disrespected the club in the way he went after Terry.

I know this sort of **** goes on every day and we're no angels but what he did and said, in public as well, left me with a very sour taste about the guy and he felt no alliegance to us at all.

He isn't for me, esp as he's involved with that Kia Joorabchian as well...another **** of the highest order.

    My goodness. Really ??

You must be happy that Hughes has jumped up to second favourite for Chelsea manager. How much will you will if it happens ? 1250 quid if my maths is correct.

I´m not convinced it will happen and I´m not 100% coinvinced by Hughes at Chelsea although I wouldn´t say no to a Hughes with Zola as assistant managerial team.

Hughes has quit Fulham for a reason and until he becomes a manager of another club he can´t be ruled out of the Chelsea job.

Surely it is going to be Hiddink. He would have ruled himself out by now if it wasn't.

Not sure about Hughes, I think he has done well at 'lesser' clubs but didn't get a lot out of City having spent a small fortune. I know he is an ex blue and would seem a much more sensible option than say zola but wouldn't coyle or moyes be better options if we are going for a British manager (which we wont). They have done some great things with their clubs given the resources and coyle's teams particularly play some good stuff.

I would much prefer Hughes over Moyes or Coyle. Hughes is a former Chelsea legend and his managerial CV is very good. Hughes wasn´t given enough time at City so I don´t think anyone can judge him based on his time there.

I´m warming more and more to the idea of Hughes. He is a no-nonsense manager and I think we need a disciplinarian in charge based on how poor some of our over-paid, under-performing players were this season.
