Seems like the Rags are dismissing their "noisy neighbours" chances, mind you after the Rags semi-final performance against "lickle citeh" who can blame them. It's clear that "the bitters" can't compete with them, isn't it.
erm make your mind up Bertie what are we rags(United) or Bitters(Citeh) mixing your metaphors there fella. ..... oh and if Berbs had got his **** together in the first half you would not of won it, you hadn't even turned up. Oh and what's with that flag on your profile? are your lot going to say you pioneered N.S. now? City heart of footy & popular culture
Can you read? Most people are saying you will be in with a chance. That performance was an FA cup. The one that counts the most, the Premier League, I recall Man Utd winning, With a good goal and all. If you replace/partner Tevez with a world-class striker (who plays for the money) then you will contend for the title.
The official JC prediction is as follows 1. United (gap) 2. City (will be a more serious threat in 12/13 IMO) 3. Chelsea (Could take second depending on the manager, definately third if Hughes) (bigger gap) 4. Liverpool 5. Arsenal 6. Spurs
Chelsea and City will buy big, United will proberly buy Ashley Young and Modric...but can De Gea replace VDS? personally think it will be United(as they have the most settled sqaud) but Voted City
Buying big does not necessarily mean buying well that is the key thing. See Fernando Torres for an example. There is also the settling issue which i think will keep you from the title next season. See Fernando Torres for an example.
Last season City bought platers for more strength in depth... but now with champions league football squad players are NOT needed but players who will improve the first 11.Players who can be very good back ups but are not able/good enough to play hopefully(fingers crossed) 50+ games Kolarov,Lescott, AJ and Barry. So a new left back, centre back, creative midfileder are needed..JHDI's wish list Baines,Vertoghan,Mata, Nasri.De Jong,Yaya and Milner would ALL be first team regulars at Yernited.. but the likes of Carrick,Fletcher etc etc have had years of playing/training together.
Can I read, yes I can. Most people aren't rags but below are comments that are probably by that special needs group that are that are on the thread. Remove Man City from list Somebody has voted Man City - they were drunk only a fool takes city seriously no threat at all Man City won't be favourites.
I don't see how "won't be favourites" is so bad. Your not. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner
Don't get the first bit, not mixed metaphors. You're Rags and I am a very proud Citizen of Manchester. The other terms in quotes are just some of the terms you rags use to try and belittle Manchester City FC. They are a bit dismissive and so were used to further emphasise the fact that I believe alot of rags dismiss our chances next year. The fact of the semi was Berbatov had two good chances, one was saved by the brilliant Joe Hart and the other he was put off by the pressure of committed defending by Kolarov. Yeah he should have scored but he didn't and apart from that you did very little and deserved to lose over the 90 minutes. And as for the ridiculous suggestion we are trying to claim we pioneered Northern Soul it's like saying your lot pioneered arrogance with alot of the flags seen at Rag games. Actually that ain't the best reposte as you lot have pioneered arrogance by football fans. The fact is alot of our loyal die hard fans are of a generation that grew up on the scene, we have kept the faith, have a northern soul and the flag has a certain humour about it.
Fair point, to be honest that's not the most dismissive quote. On the subject of those odds however I do think we're the value bet at the moment cos think they will shorten as season progresses if as I expect we're right up there. Rags and Chelsea's odds will possibly go up and down but should be longer at times. The rest, well you might aswell burn your money, now I know that's dismissive but I believe it will be the same top three next season.
