Thats one heck of an entertaining game to start with - might even get you first up on MoD! Also if you delivered those your away form is impressive with 5pts from a poss 9. You have 3 tough home games which realistically you will be doing well to get a point from but the away games are opportunities for you. My guess is 4 points from your opening 6 games.
Looking through your fixtures I'd say your first 'easy' (a likely struggling team) home game is vs Sunderland on Dec 28th!!!
Really? You honestly think Swansea will struggle next season? Think you guys will find it really difficult first half of the season. IMO your survival will depend on whether or not you can string a few wins together down the stretch.
Swans views are welcome and this is the sort of response we get P.S. Other than the Hull game, you could very well lose all the other matches.
Our start is very tough. The PL was never going to be easy though. I think 3 points isn't ridiculous when a number of us have suggested 5/6 pts could be the return. BUT we are capable of nicking a win against WH and we certainly shouldn't be scared of Hull. Who knows how the transition from long ball brutality to the beautiful game will go for Martinez and we might do well to catch them early. Don't see much light at the end of the tunnel v Man city, spurs or Fulham away but it is a funny old game.....
Hope I'm allowed to contribute: West Ham v Cardiff 2-1 Cardiff v Man City 0-2 Cardiff v Everton 0-1 Hull v Cardiff 1-1 Cardiff v Tottenham 0-2 Fulham v Cardiff 1-1 You'll find your games away harder to win than you believe now, and have to get used to the pace of the PL too. I'm one of the few on the Swansea board to believe in your PL survival though..
Ever heard of banter or are you just always right? I didn't think there were any "easy" fixtures in the Prem - you just take them as they come like any other league and do your best. There's a subtle difference between honesty and patronisation. So called "honest opinions" are more often than not tainted by club loyalties, and sometimes even wishful thinking. On the other hand, a two year start in the Premier League makes some posters experts and inevitably patronisation follows. I've seen some of your posts about us on your board, so which of the two fits you?
You'll get nothing from man city, spurs or fulham. The others you are more than capable of getting a draw and possibly a win.
Ash - I think your second sentence is very fair, though there are no assumptions across here that we will. Your first sentence is a bit sweeping though - I can't stand negativity like that!! ............
Well the following is subject to change (before kick off) when team selection is known. I think we have goals in the team so I do expect us to score. West Ham will be tight and could go either way but a draw, I think not. Man City, based on their style and consistency (or lack of) I think we can score and give them a bit of a run. Everton will be finding their feet and adapting to the Martinez way, so a leaky Toffees defence may see take the points. The Tigers will be a tough one but I believe we have enough to take 3 points. Spurs will either spank us off the park or, as I predict, sneak a win. Fulham is a nailed on draw (imo). However, the transfer window hasn't closed yet and we do not know team of formation. West Ham v Cardiff 0-1 Cardiff v Man City 2-3 Cardiff v Everton 2-1 Hull v Cardiff 1-2 Cardiff v Tottenham 1-2 Fulham v Cardiff 1-1 Blue, do not use these as my submission for the prediction league, well not just yet
West Ham v Cardiff 2-1 Cardiff v Man City 1-4 Cardiff v Everton 1-1 (Not convinced they will be as good this season) Hull v Cardiff 1-1 (A draw away is a good result) Cardiff v Tottenham 1-2 (I think we will get done by a late goal in this one) Fulham v Cardiff 1-1 (They may have a rocky start as well) Predicting a tough start, but I don't think it will be all downhill from there. We have a few players to blend into the team ourselves and we need to gel.
Its a tough start, am going for 4 points, West ham v Cardiff 0-0 Cardiff v Man city 0-4 Cardiff v Everton 0-0 Hull city v Cardiff 2-2 Cardiff v Tottenham 1-2 Fulham v Cardiff 1-1
