I'm not worried about the Europa league having a negative effect on our league placing, I think barring lots of injuries we have good squad depth and I think we're good enough to take the odd Europa game out of the equation by winning the first leg convincingly or winning the group early. I think it'll be a while before we play a team that doesn't suffer what malmo did at the liberty and if we get an early away win in the group (I'm not even entertaining the thought of these Petrol fellas stopping us) then we could well be home and hosed after 5 games and could put a youth team out.

We're good enough to go deep in the Europa League so focusing on the league until we're through the group is the right way to go imo. I think if you have some quality and squad depth, the Europa shouldn't be a problem, I think Newcastle were short on both last time, their big players just didn't play well for periods of time.
