Has today admitted he has his heart set in playing in the premier league with Everton now linked. Most certainly one of a few we don't want to lose. Should an offer come in will it be to good to turn down. We're a work in progress and I'd certainly like to see him be part of OUR team trying to make an assault on the prem.
Where does it say that mad . I read it as it was only mentioned to him by a reporter as Baines was possibly leaving . He doesn't even support Everton and as a Liverpool supporter why would he dream of playing in the premier with Everton . Doesn't make any sense
If you've taken this from the twtd story then you have missed this......... Former Tranmere man Cresswell - who Mick McCarthy says is the best left-back in the Championship - says the reports were news to him: “I have not heard a thing about a move. I love playing here and there is no reason why I can’t stay here for the next two years" “I have had a great first two years and am happy to be starting my third. Time flies when you are having fun – and I’m having fun. “My career ambition is to play at the highest level and if I can do that, then I will be very happy. “I would love for Ipswich to reach the Premier League, then my ambition to play there would be fulfilled.”
I would be happy to bet with anyone that he will be with us after the close of this transfer window... in 12 months time however I wouldn't be quite so bold. He seems to have a sensible head on his shoulders and I think he knows that another season at this level is the best for his development but if we don't kick on then I imagine he'll start to get slightly itchy feet as there will be a few clubs who will firm up their interest and I wouldn't be surprised to see him elsewhere in 12 months time
I think he will stay with us this season, but unless we get promoted he will be off. I really hope we can keep hold of him for longer but this time next year he will be approaching 25 and if a premiership club approaches him I think he will be at the right age to really challenge for a starting place and establish himself as a premier league player. If he waits longer he might miss his opportunity. Hopefully we can make his decision easy by getting promoted!
" He doesn't even support Everton and as a Liverpool supporter why would he dream of playing in the premier with Everton . Doesn't make any sense " Didn't Michael Owen/ Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher all support Everton?!?!?! Makes very little impact on who you support 99% of the time I'm afraid! If Norwich offered me £20,000 a week, and I was currently on £6,000, at say Yeovil Town, I'd probably we wearing the Yellow.....
I think the point is as Everton are not his team why would he dream of playing for them i would think he dreams about playing for Liverpool, thats not to say that he wouldn't play for them.
