What??? Cardiff pissed this league last year and scored 87 points, Hull went up with 79 which is 1.71 points per game. How can 4 points from 2 games be the 'minimum at this point'? What is the point in having a minimum points point at this point when the point is 2 games played? if we average 2 points a game we will win the league... Although and i'm not sure if you are getting my point, but there really is no point in looking at average points after just two games. Also i notice in your posts a high level of Keeperism - you seem to hate all goal keepers. I'm not sure this acceptable in this day and age, its not their fault they were **** at playing outfield you should give them a break and accept them for the ball juggling clowns that they are.
No, just our one is, I gave both the opposition keepers plenty of credit, the only save our one has made all season was a 35 yarder that was deflected right at him with all the pace taken off it. 4 points against 2 relegation favourites is the least we should expect. You dont think Man U fans would be wanting at least that against Hull and Stoke?
Quite content with 4 points....only 2 points off the leaders!!!!!!! Only 44 games to go, it really is a marathon not a sprint. I think some of the comments have been a little dis-respectful to Huddersfield, they are no mugs and we are not going to win every game......If we have 10 points or better by the end of August then we will have done well....
I hope everyone isn't using our start in 2010-11 as the yardstick, it'll be a lot tougher this time...
Wow! 'the only save our one has made all season' - its August 12th! Are you any one's boss - you seem very demanding... '4 points against 2 relegation favorites is the least we should expect.' You are probably right Flyer but after last season the least i was expecting was more of the same couldn't give a **** players playing dross football, instead i have seen a far improved general attitude on the pitch and we have lots to be positive about at this stage. Not sure what you are getting at with the ManU comparison, i assume you mean one of the teams expected to finish at the top V two of the teams expected to finish at the bottom, wouldn't be happy with 4 points.... I think if you are a little unhappy now then your going to be ****ing miserable in a few more months when we aren't in the top 3... I'd take 4 points from the next 3 games now, and if i could pick i'd rather draw at home to Ipswich, lose away at bolton and thump as many goals past Kenny at Leeds as is humanly possible in a crushing away win!
I think we should be a little disappointed that we currently don't have 6 points and had enough chances in our first two league games to have won them by 4 goals. We have to take our chances IMO I would be aiming for 9 points from our next three ... Teams will be gunning and upping their games of that I have no doubts at all ... in which case we must boss them and break them. Ipswich must be despatched in good form, Bolton and Leeds have to be beaten to put down the mark of the division they are massive games ... in between them we also need a strong game against Swindon. We have to believe we can do this
Good start? Hmmmm? Dunno, to be honest. Should have had 6pts. Leaky defense still a major concern. Against 'bigger' Championship teams we would have been found out in games 1 and 2. Concerned. But hope I'm wrong.
To be honest, I'm disappointed we don't have all six points - given the chances we had against Huddersfield. Nevertheless, we are (once again!) in a period of readjustment - so believe we will have better-still to come. I think our defence will improve the longer they are together - we need a solid unit there. Midfield & forwards are still to be decided. Will be an interesting month - agree with others, lets see where we are after Bolton/Leeds.
I agree with Flyer, given the opening fixtures. I'm worried about the lack of goals in the team at the moment, so we need some midfield creativity. Please nobody mention...
