Woolwich Arsenal were a decent club back then in S E London. Munitions workers and the like, playing at nearby Plumstead.

    Then the cheating began.

Then the move to Highbury about 10 miles away, the sneaky renaming of the Underground station etc

A long history of deceit, rile bending an general ****ishness.

No wonder the modern day Arsenal is such a **** magnet.Their fanbase is scum...Crispin from Hitchin and any foreign student who can't get tickets for Barca.

    They died when Rioch left.

You are born and are given a name, that name identifies you, you live your life, the ups and the downs, but it's you, that name. You achieve something after years of hardship and endeavour, you make your top-flight and you celebrate using that name. You have always had a nickname too, it's what folk call you when you are funny or successful or simply, just being you, day-to-day. There is a reason for the two forms of identification, one is official, it's a stake-in-the-ground, but the nickname is an endearment, a fond way of referring to you. They are, in my experience, always kept separate; from a marketing perspective this offers far more opportunities to grow the brand, but keep it's history for those occasions when that matters - and history and heritage should matter to ny level headed person.

I don't think this will happen. There is no need for name changes it isn't going to generate any more business or money for anyone.

I doubt AA will be advised by anyone. I can't see him ever taking advice, he knows best. His club remember.

I would say "ravaged" by the press. If the mould is "probably"broken you forsee Man. U and City, Liverpool, Chelsea,Arsenal following? Please think why they are a major brand. SUCCESS on the pitch domestically and in Europe over many years.
Surely if you follow Allam Snr's logic as "city" is common it will be Cardiff Dragons?

Well it was discussed on the Sunday Supplement on Sky and basically the reporters on there where totally against the name change and thought the Allams where ill advised to carry it out. Unfortunatley they also said that there was little we could do to change it as the Allams will do what ever the **** they want and **** the fans.

The whole country knows this is a bag of ****.

But trying to convince the Dr that he's got it wrong will be a bit like trying to get Kim Jong Un to stop making nuclear bombs and feed people instead.

IE impossible. 'Cos he's a dictator. And he's mental.

The name Hull City Tigers doesn't not annoy me, I too agree it is quite acceptable but we are not going to be known as the Hull City Tigers. Everywhere but Hull and East Yorkshire we are the Hull Tigers.

    ^^^^^^ This

    ^^^^^^ And this . . .

. . . to be fair, it took no where near as long as I thought for him to show his true colours; he's like a pay-day-loan company because he has loaned us the money (that's all he has done) and now he is squeezing us. He has no interest in Hull City AFC, just his own financial progression and his own very inflated ego. Full marks for his gambling prowess in getting himself into the PL.

BTW had Ehab grown some balls and the slightest interest in football, maybe he would have told his old man of the utter stupidity of his actions. As it is we're left with a loony old man in charge of our Football Club, stumbling from one PR disaster to another.

Serious question. What have the Allam's actually got wrong so far?

They sacked NB. There was outcry. They brought in SB. Who would you rather have at the helm?

The only other debacle I can think of off the top of my head is the stadium row, which neither party came out of smelling of roses.

I too dont agree with the renaming but idiots don't become multi-millionaires.

They were wrong to sack NB. Just because we got a better manager later doesn't make it right to treat people like ****.

Your last sentence is just plain false.
